well then the government will have to deal with the consequences when they have an entire country filled with tearaways in about 40 years or so. haha

In what way do you think they've taken responsibility away Niki? ${ What worries me is that too many parents aren't taking responsibility for their kids! Loads are plonked in front of one screen or another (tv, computer, playstation, etc) most of the day. Kids these days don't have respect.... so obviously no-one is teaching them it. Like your friends little girl, she does what she wants at 3 what on earth will she be like at 13? (Sorry I'm not knocking your pal honest). I'm constantly told my kids are a credit to me and very well behaved and what's the secret? There is no secret, just teach them respect, let them know their boundaries and you will get respect from them.

Sheesh what is up with me today? Is it pmt time? ::lol::

Awww thanks Jemzie :D I only do my best, the way I see fit. My kids and I have a right laugh but they know the limits. The best compliment anyone has ever given me was someone I met for "real" the first time having known her a while on the net. She posted the next day that she'd been a bit worried by the thought of my teenagers (then 13 and 15) but on meeting them she thought were amazing and not only my sons but my friends.

Children need discipline..I agree with Niki though the government will be making it illegal to shout at your kids before long...I was smacked (usually into the next week) when i was a kid and i turned out fine!!! Except for the fact im a total loon!! But as ive said before thats all an act!!

Because

1. they make it 'easy' for young girls who have babies at a young age, provide them with a home, money etc, then, they make it difficult for them to get a job ( my friend gave borth at 15, and has a three bedrom house). Ive known 13 year olds to turn round, say they want a kid cos they reckon it would be 'easy'

2. Kids can now sue their parents. and Divorce them  for ridiculous reasons

3. you can be done for child cruelty if you smack your child, not hard, just a light smack that practically tickles, used to work with me, soon stopped me and my brother fighting! I dont agree with 'hurting' children obviously, but discipline is whats needed.

thats not all of it, i wont go into it!!
