Does anyone else think that the judges and the media are building it up and shaping it so that Shayne wins?

It stinks, if you ask me.

It would actualy be better for him if he didnt ..winning didnt do Steve any good.

I personalyl hope Chico wins it would be the ironic ending to this farce. I mean Walsh last night was an embaressing disgrace, saying the likes of I saved your artist last week to Sharon

he's not as good as he's been built up as, even taking into account his good performance he was still nowhere near as good as daniel bedingfields singings of the song

I liked his version. When I heard Bedingfield do that song *live*, it was nowhere near as good as his recorded version. And given his greater experience of performing in public, I think it's unfair to compare them at this stage.

Plus, Bedders is an arse!

Shayne is pretty. He'll have some sort of a career out of this whether he wins or not. One hit wonder, maybe.

Shayne certainly *is* pretty. That fact kind of jumped out at me the very first time I saw him in the auditions. I also love his voice, and I think he might do well enough for a while. What may hold him back is lack of songwriting talent, as you really need that skill to be an artist of any substance.

Why are the pushing the show in favour of him?

For me, hes a younger Brookstein.

Ermm middle aged woman in rural Britain that couldn't stand Brookstein.

Brookstein was the best thing going I am not surprised that shane is the fav as he not only looks like brookstein but has a good voice too. Steve won the X factor but became the victim of facing several albums of covers, which he refused to do and poor management, plus the but of media negativity. Personally I loved his voice , and hoped for moreopportunity to follow his career and buy his cds. Like Will Young we will have to wait till he can do his own thing with another label. The reality pop series,dont do these hopefuls any favours, anyone remember, anyone remember, Gareth Gates, Michelle McManus, etc

Errm Will Young hasn't changed labels, his previous two albums and his next one are all on BMG labels or BMGSony now. The reason that Will Young was able to do his own thing was not only did he have a great voice but that the first album sold.....if it hadn't have done, his would have been the same story as Brookstein's.

Let's be honest he only won because of Sharon's outburst.......I couldn't stand him but I nearly voted for him because of her and I thought he was dreadful on the final night..he didn't know the words of his songs...he should have gone weeks before.

OK GG I stand to be corrected on Will Young but it doesnt alter the fact that Steve Brookstein was poorly managed after he won, whether you liked him or not someone did as not only did he win bu t he was never in the bottom two throughout the shows. I personally thought he was a worthy winner with a fabulous voice I do hope we hear more of him in the future.
