This morning when we woke up - it was snowy outside!
I think it's going to melt soon, but children has had fun from the minute they woke up!
It's not much snow yet (for example there's no snow on the roads), but enough to make snow-balls...

I meant it. Despite all the hassles it brings, I turn 5 years old every time the snow comes out.

Snow is absolutely ace, it gives people the right to become a kid again. I'll have to dig out the sledge when it snows here this time! :D

TPAM lives on a road which gets closed when it snows and has warning signs up 365 days a year

Here too!! It started to snow early on sundaymorning and now it's absolutely totally winter! Maybe it'll melt away, but for now it's gorgeous! My kids were extatic yesterdaymorning when they looked out the window, my daughter ran around the house waking everybody up and yelling "Lunta sataa, lunta sataa!" (it's snowing, it's snowing!!) @^@ My son can't speak yet, but he stared out the window for ten minutes (which is a long time for an 18 month old boy) going "wow... wow.." ::lol::

It's a bit scary to be driving at this time of the year, people are driving around without their wintertires and that means a lot of accidents. I've always wondered what it is about winter that it always seems to sneak up on you. Like you had no idea it would snow in october-november. I bet there will be like 200 car accidents in southern Finland alone this week  Morans, don't know how to drive in Finland.

My hb @^@ changed wintertires on thursday last week, so the only worry in the traffic is the other drivers! Like it always is! ;) That's true but sad that only few people change their attitude when they drive when it's snowing. Young males were wondering how could I drive when the snow landed down few years ago in the middle of the week (nobody hasn't changed wintertires by then) when I was at Uni. They have been studying in driving school how to drive in winter (it wasn't in a program back in those days that I was in a driving school) and they had left their cars home that day. I just said - it's the attitude that counts (and of course an experience). ::lol::

Jezi, snow hasn't melt yet over here as well, eventhought I think that Liisi has a lot more snow over there where she lives, I'm living much more southern than she is. :D

Yep - in Lapland for sure. Most of the time - yes. But for example in Helsinki or Turku not that much every year. And it belongs to a winter weather on these levels that it rains sometimes water as well and it's more icy than snowy and sometimes it's as cold as in a Russian hell as well. Basic winter months are December, January and February, but sometimes winter starts on October with snow that lasts (doesn't melt until it's summer) and lasts untill it's April - almost six months! ;) But it doen't matter, we have lots of things to do in the winter and wonderful autumn colourpalette and absolutely beautiful summer...

Jezi: The first snow usually melts away in a couple of days, and permanent snow comes at the end of november/ beginning of december and doesn't melt untill april. We haven't had a christmas without snow in my lifetime :D
