Chenai makes a pop at the older girls
It’s catfights-a-go-go!
Tempers are flaring backstage at The X Factor as tensions mount over the coveted final place.
Tearful “I can’t speak without bawling” Chenai Zinyuku has reportedly started a spat with the other two remaining female contenders because (shock, horror) they are older than her.
Yes, Chenai, 19, seems to think that the older you are, the more time you’ve had to practise your singing. Which means, of course, that 36-year-old Brenda Edwards and 30-year-old Maria Lawson clearly have an unfair advantage over the pouting performer.
It all started when Simon Cowell insisted Chenai’s performance was below par, labelling her the weakest singer of the three women. Chenai quickly snapped back: “Well, they are 15 years older than me,” and then the fur really began to fly!
Brenda heard the comment and “flipped”, according to insiders. She told Chenai: “Listen darling, age has got nothing to do with this contest. This show is about whether or not you can sing.”
Spontaneously bursting into tears, Chenai reportedly snivelled: “You’re obviously sensitive about your age then,” before the pair started screeching at each other like cats. Show producers had to put Chenai out in the garden to calm down.
