Bookies William Hill have been called by excited punters up and down the country, who were hoping to place wagers that 'Girls Aloud' will perform on the X Factor next week, following a challenge from Simon Cowell to sing live on the show.
Hills spokesman Rupert Adams said,"We were about to start offering odds on whether they would accept the challenge but every enquiry we made suggested that they would accept, so we have decided to duck this one.

In the outright betting Shayne remains the 6/4 favourite but the biggest mover of the week was Maria who has been well backed following her excellent performance and is now priced at 9/2.
