I know that he has a lot of fans on here, so please dont take this to heart, BUT....

Shayne has to be the smugest person on TV!!

He's all 'Look at me, Im gorgeous'!

My wife and her friends cant see the attraction to him- hes an average looking lad at best.

I don't care if he's smug.

I think he's gorgeous. And so do all the women at work.

I wish he was average looking! There would be a lot more good looking men in the country then!

He's the best singer in the competition in my opinion. He sings effortlessly, and his voice appeals to me most, so if he gets to the final, I shall be voting for him on those accounts, rather than the fact that he is gorgeous!

I haven't really seen evidence of the smugness to be honest.

I think Sharon is to blame for Shayne seeming smug, if you ask me. He seems quite humble to me, really, but has to react to her flirting.

I agree about his singing - it's totally effortless, and very pleasant to listen to. I'm not sure that the songs have stretched him - apart from the Bedingfield one, so I hope they sort that out.

But has he really got the 'X Factor'?

I cant see it, myself.

imo he's got a bit of an edge about him

i know people aren't responsible for the crimes of their relatives, but the fact his fathers a convicted rapist and his brothers been in a lot of trouble with the police, suggests he's got bad boy genes

mind you, a lot of women go for the bad boy type

I don't go for the bad boy type - never have.

I don't think he's responsible for the people in his family who've been in trouble, and I'm a great believer in your genes not controlling who you are.

I think he has the X Factor - he caught my eyes and ears right from his first audition.

He is a good looking lad but he's far too cocky and big headed for my liking and I dont think his voice is that good, all the good comments have gone to his head a bit the kid needs a reality check IMO!

He needs to be put in the bottom 2 to give him a shock.
