You know you spend too much time online when you start taking your online friends (or enemies for that matter) too seriously! Don't take their opinion on board too much till you know they are for real :D

But don't you think you can get to know someone, especially if you believe they are honest Molly and Felicity. After all you have to presume that your friends that you do meet are honest as well unless proved wrong.

Anyway back to the thread, something happens during the day and you look forward to typing it up online that night.

yes I do agree with you Ellie, you can certainly meet people you get on well with and befriend online - I guess my post was a little harsh :D

what I meant was that sometimes the cyber world we all take part in can become a bit too real for some people, particularly when one party is making more of it than it really is.....hope that makes sense

That has happened to me before... I got thoroughly disturbed when I realised ::lol::

Yeah, I think you need to keep the whole online thing in context. I tend to come on this quite a lot (usually while talking to family members seen as they live far away) but to be honest I don't think I'm 'attached' in that way. While on holiday or whatever it's totally forgotten about. This isn't the case for some people though - my school friend goes on about the Americans she speaks to online allll the time :-?
