Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has signed for Celtic.
The tough-tackling midfielder, who left Old Trafford last month, has agreed an 18-month deal.
Despite being 34, a host of clubs had been linked with the former Ireland international.
They included Everton and Bolton, as well as Spanish giants Real Madrid.
However, Keane had previously made no secret of his desire to play for the Glasgow club.
And he has now signed a deal until June 2007 worth a reported £40,000 a week.
A statement on the club's website said Keane had "fulfilled a long-held dream by joining the Hoops".
Keane's desire and courage drove Manchester United to unprecedented success at home and success in the European Cup.
However, recent failures to match those standards frustrated him.
He criticised some of his team-mates in a club TV interview, earning a rebuke from manager Sir Alex Ferguson, before his departure.
