 Are you having a party?!!

Have a feeling I'm going to see the same 2 shows about 5 times between now and Christmas. Well, one of them just the bits I'm not in.

I haven't written my cards yet, still got to get some more. I have had to get some prezzies as one had to go to Australia (last day to post was Dec 9th) and some relatives in Wales who came last weekend so had to get theirs but the rest are still to be bought.

No decorations up yet and not sure when or if we will as my other half is a bit anti.

Trying not to panic yet!

:-?

At my daughters carol service the other night, something very poignant was said which I think is appropriate for this thread. (and HC and Rince excuse me for this moment of soppiness ;) )

I'm feeling so much better now that I've had a couple of glasses of wine :D Things are quite fine and dandy now and I'm looking forward to hanging on the net for the evening. It's been a long time since I've done that with a glass (or a bottle) of wine!!

Edit: Damn, I feel like such a drunk now ::lol::

Karjalanpiirakka = Carelian pie is an open, oval shaped oven pie. It's origins are in northern Carelia, Finland. It's crust is made of ryeflower, water and salt, some add a little wheat to the crust to make the dough easier to handle. Traditionally the carelian pie is filled with rice porrige or mashed potatoes, and finally after it's cooked, it's smeared with a mix of melted butter and milk. The carelian pie is a traditional northern carelian treat, that is often eaten with eggbutter.

And it has lots of calories in it, if you buy them ready-made from a shop. If you make them with the traditional recipe, they're much more healthier. Watch out with your diet on Christmas! Have you tried to make them with cowberry filling, Liisi? Do you make them round or oval shaped or both?

I've been making sure that Santa is coming to see my little ones on Christmas eve...

We make them oval. Christmas is the one time of the year I don't care about my diet. A few days or even a week or eating what ever isn't the end of the world, I'm so not counting calories next weekend! Besides, I've done quite well even though it's been really hard lately; I've lost allmost 20 pounds since last summer :D
