Well I've stood next to Jim Bacon the weather presenter.
Also Willie Thorne came into our local newsagents a few years ago while I was in there to ask where the bookies were.

I've also had a couple of letters in the local paper and I've had a Photo published in the same paper.

My brother was pictured with David Wilki at the local swimming baths ,after taking part in an event ,for the local paper.

We had a I think three members of family interviewed years ago on the ITV Sunday Worship program.

We also had another Auntie and Uncle taken from the audience to take part in a 90's Meridian TV show 'Prove it'. It was never broadcast but as my cousin used to work for Meridian he got the show copied onto VHS. Also long time family friend John Ward the local mad Professor / Inventor came to fame on this show.

Also my father has met past actors from shows like Crossroads ,Corrie ,and an ex-carry one. All locals that he met on his rounds as a TV engineer.

And last but not least I admit to having bored viewers almost to sleep
on E4 in the lead up to BB4 with my dreadful application video.

Hmm. Claims to fame...

OK. (fairly dubious, but still...)

My nursery school teacher was a college friend of my mothers, who went to work in her mothers nursery after qualifying as a teacher. She later pursued a career in acting and was last seen in an episode of Doctors and a certain cornflakes honey and nut combo commercial, but is most famously known for being Dee Dee Dixon in Brookside.

At the age of 14, I was on the front page of the local free rag, having been a helper at a Summer activity programme set up by the local authority, which was paid a visit by Prince Edward. I was in charge of badge making, and we were making badges that said "I did it in the park with Prince Edward". (Not my idea, I hasten to add)

The headline on the paper was "Saucy Badge Makes Prince Blush".

I once unintentionally made Burk Kwouk say the word Busoms in a channel 4 webchat. I asked the question "Which has been your favourite banzai episode so far?" and he said "The one where the ladies got their busoms out". Burt Kwouk ROCKS!

And then theres the "insulting Peter Crouch" thing. But the less said about that the better, its clearly hurt his form of late... ::lol::

I was at the station buying a rail ticket and Mary Archer was at the ticket desk next to me. About two hours ago, don't all rush down there she'll be gone by now

And did you have to mime your request for a drink Felicity? I loved Give Us a Clue.

I don't know anyone famous either, but I have had a drink with George Best (he only drank juice), I once was in the same lift as Pierce Brosnan, I got shouted at by a footballer, John Fashanou and saw Chas and Dave outside our local hospital. I was very tempted to ask the last two for their autograph but I resisted. :D

I don't know anybody famous either - my closest is probably my father being in the EE newspaper quite often and that is hardly a claim to fame.

Have met people from the TV like from Coronation Street and Emmerdale but I never even knew who they were. Ohhh and that lady from River City ::lol:: She was funny.

And a little way down the line on my father's side my Auntie's husband is related to Jilly Johnston also ex-page 3. Never met her though.

Yesterday, all the family (over 20 of us) went to a hotel for Boxing Day lunch and who should we see walk past, but Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee. They were apparently staying at the hotel.
