Am quite a fan of hers, I find her novels emotionally complex and riveting... anyone else read her stuff?

I've read the sea, the sea and The Green Knight and Jackson's Dilema and her poetry volume. She is quite heavy but an absolutely superb writer.

Hi Milly, I would love to discuss some of Murdoch's books with you as I do find them intriguing. Which ones have you read?

I studied The Sea The Sea at university (MANY moons ago), but it wasn't my favourite book. I might enjoy it more now, I think.

It's a bit heavy going vagabond and very involved, which is great if you like that kind of thing. (which I do)

Isn't it quite philosophical? That may have been the problem for me. I was suffering through Moral Philosophy at the time, and it was nearly my undoing!!

It is quite philosophical and the main character is immensely frustrating, but I didn't get the philosophical stuff until after I had finished it and was reflecting on why I got so into it, when the storyline itself seemed to be quite simplistic.
