After weeks of speculation, the 10 celebrities chosen for the 4th series of the show are finally in the house.
There are however, 11 housemates, all of whom are eligible to be crowned the winner of the show in 3 weeks time. The first housemate to enter was "imposter" Chantelle - a 22 year old from Essex. In reality, she is not famous in the slightest, but she has been set a challenge from Big Brother to convince the 10 "celebrities" that she is one of them - that she is part of a 5 piece girlband called Kandy Floss (With a K). If her guise is discovered by any of the celebs, she will be evicted.
The first geniune celeb to enter the house was former TV personality Michael Barrymore, 53. He received an apparent warm welcome from the crowd, which seemed to overwhelm him as he entered the house.
Pete Burns, frontman of 80s band Dead or Alive was next in, followed by former Baywatch actress, Traci Bingham.
Welsh rapper Maggot, from band Goldie Lookin' Chain soon joined them, insisting he was only there to "make up the numbers", and next in was Rula Lenska, actress, and former wife of Dennis Waterman.
Seventh into the house was model / professional reality TV star / whatever, 27 year old Jodie Marsh, and next in, 6'7 tall basketball player, Dennis Rodman. The rest of the housemates looked on as Traci welcomed the 44 year old fellow American, who seemed distinctly less pleased to see her than she was him.
Faria Alam, famed for her affair with England boss Sven Goran Eriksson, was next up, followed by Sam Preston, 23, member of band "the Ordinary Boys".
The final celebrity to enter the house was rebel MP George Galloway, who introduced himself to his fellow housemates with a handshake.
The housemates have seen off a decent amount of alcohol this evening, with Faria, George, Rula and Traci heading off to bed just before 1am.
Michael, Pete and Jodie have spent the majority of the night in the living area, discussing fame, and the tabloid newspapers.
Meanwhile, Dennis, Maggot and Chantelle descended on the kitchen, with Chantelle fending off questions from Maggot regarding her record label and management company. Despite being exactly twice her age, Dennis has been attempting to woo Chantelle, and has chosen to sleep in the bed next to her.
Be afraid Chantelle, be very afraid.
