True CC but it's a fact of life whether people choose to see it or not, kids who are different and do different things to the majority of other kids will get picked on which won't be pleasant.

But if more have the courage to do the things they want to, then they wouldn't stick out as being 'different' :D

He has said himself that boys will laugh and call him a girl and he said he doesnt care he wants to do it. I think that is a great attitude to have! If anyone decided to tease him at 5 years old about it they will have me to deal with :D

He keeps asking is it ballet day yet so he clearly wants to go.

Sorry - meant to post this before:

I think it's a great idea, for a boy to do ballet, if he wants to. Chances are he'll be really good at it.

When my brats were angels, they did ballet, and there was one boy in the end of year show, with about 18 girls. He was excellent - and all the girls were mad about him.

I went to see my daughter in a play a couple of years ago and the male dancer there was fantastic!! Clearly born to do it and of course he got all the lead parts and had really strong leg muscles 'young maaaaaaaan' :oops:

Elliot won a box of racing cars today at a party for best dancer. I asked him to show me what he did and he looked like he was doing the funky chicken :D

Well he went and he loved it! There was another boy in the class but even before knowing that he wasn't bothered if he was going to be the only one. He had a great time and had been really looking forward to it. he played ruby at school today followed by ballet after school. One extreme to the other ::lol::

Oh and boys wear black ballet shoes :angel:

Lovely to hear that everything went fine at his ballet class! ()^

My little one was at her first wrestling trainings (she's 4) on this monday (she was the only girl)! ::lol:: And she has been trying to turn cartwheels in every second moment since that!

I've stayed out of this thread so far, but I can take it no more. HC, how can you let your son take part in a girly past-time, only enjoyed by effete public schoolboys struggling with their own sexuality. Just an excuse to change with other men and grip them in action. No good can come from it.

I say NAY, NAY, and thrice NAY.........

to Rugby Union, ballets OK though {@} {@} {@}

had the pleasure of hearing some 15 year old lad mincing about doing ballet (and it was mincing not dancing - way out of time with the girls - nearly showed him how to do it properly) and then following it up by singing Candle in the Wind. Candle in the bloody wind.

Did Diana die in vain?
