today I had to go to Sainsbury's (after being a la dentiste) to get my antibiotics - I had to wait for 10 mins at the Pharmacy so decided to go a wee browse round the clothes bit.....

you'll never guess what - it was their final final sale - and I got a pair of breeks and two skirts for £5.40 each - what a BARGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*although I did feel a bit of a skiver since it was during school time*

I got brilliant lilacy pink coloured cords in the Sainsbury's sale for a tenner, they are so cool even if they maybe don't sound good....

don't have a clue CT (although I probably should  ::lol:: ) - lots of them seemed to have 'fourniture pour les cheveux' on the front though, I was looking for a single word but never picked up on it.

A nice little camera bargain from Argos.
3 Mega-Pixel Vivitar 3720 Camera built in 16MB memory and a slot for SD Memory cards. £39.99 560/3134

Even in the default settings the pictures are quite good.
I've fitted a 256MB card which I've seen as low as £14 in Kwik-save.
Having now set it up for max definition and after having to read the manual to find out how to turn off the date stamp it does a very acceptable job.
It can record video and can be used as a PC camera.
It has a 1.5 inch LCD display.
It has an x8 Digital zoom which is only usable up to about x2 before the image in the LCD pixelates.
Camera measures about 2 inches by 3 inches and maybe 3/4 inch thick.
The only real down side is that it runs off 3 AAA batteries with no external power socket to allow you to use a better source.

Oh and it appears to only focus once you press the button to take the shot. The more expensive ones allow you to press the button half way to preview the focused image before actually taking the shot.
But unless you are attempting close-ups and playing with the zoom with a close-up it shouldn't be a problem. A zoomed image that looks pixelated is corrected when the camera stores the image.
If you want to do close-ups then a camera with optical zoom would give better results.

But for the money it's great value. Comes with USB cable ,software ,batteries ,and a carry case.

I just wanted a camera I could keep in my pocket as the Digital SLR is too big to carry around with you unless your actually going out looking for subject material to photograph in which case the real camera get used.

A cheap camera that can take good pictures and a good way to get started in Digital Photography without breaking the bank.

The lack of Optical Zoom can be over come using something like Paintshop Pro. Take an image with the camera set for Max size and resolution and then crop the image around the bit you want. The image is sharp enough to allow this.
The focus range according to the book is 5 feet to infinity.

The main differencies from the Olympus C350 that I used to have is the lack of Optical Zoom ,the half shutter to focus the image and the AA batteries which last far longer than AAA. A couple of sets of AAA NiMh are called for. One in the camera and one ready for when the other runout.
The book doesn't give you an expected battery life ,but I've taken 21 photos so far ,some with flash ,and the batteries they supplied still show full.

My Nikon claims up to 2000 photos on one charge but I've only managed around 1000. Manual focus would improve things but I bought a spare battery with that camera.

And to go with the camera and saving a fortune in batteries I've just bought some 1000mAh NiMh AAA (Ebay Item#5862758792).
You need a charger to go with them.
Checkout the sellers other items as I think he will have the charger as well.
Buying Duracell M3's and Energizer batteries are expensive so the NiMh rechargable ones soon pay for themselves.
Note that a lot of cameras won't power up if you put Zinc-Carbon batteries in them.

Today went special dress shopping, it was not as bad as I thought! You see I already knew that this....

Image

was the dress that I wanted. So tried it on again and it still looked OK (I'm not a good looking person by any stretch of the imagination but for some reason red is a colour that I suit. Could be my dark hair) but they gave us another dress from the one that I tried on and once we brought it home we realised the zip was broken  But it's OK because mum's going to take it back during the week and just get another one of the same, they had a few.

But did get these shoes...

Image

which are really pretty and I don't care if people think shoes for events like this should have a heel, I liked them.

Also this kinda cardigan-ish thing to wear over the top which was an absolute snip at a fiver :D

They charge far too much for those clothes, far far too much. Mind you mine didn't cost nearly as much as what some people have been paying, it's ridiculous! But yes, a lot easier than presumed. :D

My digital camera has a rechargable battery, I use it a lot and it does hold the charge for quite a long time. It is an Olympus one, got it in August 2004 and have never had a problem with it (other than my photograph taking skills ::lol:: ) - shall find the box later and tell you the model because I can't remember what it was.

Probably not but thanks HC. Just found the pictures on the websites of the shops they were bought from, unfortunately the picture of the shoes doesn't show how nice they are. Very sparkly :D
