Today's mail on Sunday it says that for BB7 they are looking for a christian and a spokesperson has said they have put adverts in christian magazines to try and get people to apply. To make sure different groups of people are represented in the house.

The well known group in the Church of England called Reform, don't agree with them trying to target a Christian as they think that the person will be victimized by others for their strong beliefs.

I can see their point especially if they had to deal with the likes of people in CBB!

It would be interesting to see Cameron's point of view on this, since he was a christian and won BB4, but I think he wasn't in a hostile environment in BB4 they seem to be a bunch of normal people, not way out like Pete Burns etc.

Im a Christian (CofE), and find it pretty disgusting that they would 'seek' us out and show how 'silly' or 'reserved' we are.

They did the same with Wife Swap cc. I went to the Christian Resources Exhibition in Exeter a couple of years ago and there were all these fliers being given out looking for Christian couples to take part.

No doubt they would make the couple swap with pagans or something....i don't know if anyone applied.

Yeah I think it is really bad how attitudes haven't changed towards christians, they wouldn't do that to other practicing faiths.

I think they do it to all faiths tbh honest and many christians can be their own worst enemy by giving off a bad attitude themselves. I heard somewhere ''the christian army is the only one where they shoot their own wounded'' As a christian I have been judged and condemed the most by, guess what?, other christians :-?

I totally agree, we have both had very bad experiences at the hands of so called 'Christians'. I really hurts as they are the people who are suppose to have the same ideals and lets face it we are told to love one another.

We have had to leave a church a few years ago because of some of the people there. Luckily we are at a smashing church now and feel very much at home. They were praying for me when I was so ill 2 years ago.

I am not afraid to say that the main reason I am alive is because the Lord gave me the strength. I know that I also owe my life to the medical staff of course but you have to have the ability to fight for yourself as well. I did not have the strength and was ready to go but the Lord gave me the extra love, strength and peace to live.

Sorry I am off my soapbox now!!

I would question whether or not they were a genuine Christian then, as that would just be hypocritical.

I agree there are a lot of people who called themselves 'Christians' and could not be further from the teachings of Christ if they tried.

The fact that the original article was in a national newspaper, shows how the secular world still views christians as sad backwards people who don't know how to have fun!! Where as I don't think Muslims or other types of religions aren't picked on as much with in the BB house.
