All you female members, do you envy Angelina's relationship? Or maybe you envy Jordan's relationship with Peter Andre. If those two girls don't make you envoius, are you happy with what you have got or would you like to trade him/her in for a younger/fitter model?

BRAD PITT AND ANGELINA JOLIE ARE 'PERFECT COUPLE'

BRAD PITT and Angelina Jolie’s relationship is the kind most UK women want, according to a Valentine’s love poll.

Despite the furore the Hollywood couple’s union caused when Brad left wife Jennifer Aniston and promptly hooked up with his Mr & Mrs Smith co-star, 46 per cent of female shoppers thought they had the ideal relationship.

Surprisingly Peter Andre and Jordan – who recently denied their marriage was in trouble – came second with 30 per cent of women saying they would base their romance on the perma-tanned pair.

In third place was husband and wife chat show hosts Richard Madeley and Judy Finnegan with 20 per cent of the vote.

And it seems food may be the way to a woman’s heart these days. One in eight revealed they would prefer a hotty in the kitchen as opposed to the bedroom, which could be down to the popularity of TV chef Jamie Oliver. He gave heartthrobs George Clooney, Brad and Johnny Depp a run for their money in the perfect celebrity date category.

There’s good news for any cash-strapped slobs out there too. Over a quarter of girls would prefer a takeaway rather than an expensive candlelight dinner and one in ten opted for a couch potato instead of a fitness freak.

Michael Duffy of home shopping specialists LX Direct, who carried out the poll, commented: “Who needs Hollywood looks and millions in the bank anyway?

“Women nowadays seem to have a more realistic view of how romance is shared with their partners.”

Valentines day is the worst day of the calender.I'm fed up of being bombarded with all these pink fluffy balloons and hearts and all that cr*p that goes with it!Nothing romantic about it in any case.Opportunity for card manufacturers to rake in the dosh with vomit inducing cards, florists to rip you off by charging £5 for a single red rose that will cost a tenth of that the next day and an opportunity for all the pretty girls at school to show how popular they are by boasting how many they've got.
I absolutely LOATHE it

Rant over :D

*Picks up the mantle *runs with it... :D ()^

I can't be bothered with it either. Me and my sister used to each get a card every year - in our MUMS handwriting! :-? ::lol::

I'm not expecting anything this year! I said to him 'Oh it's Valentines day soon' and he replied 'Oh yes, what is that?' He'd never even heard of it! ::lol::

I agree with Pikey anyway, big corporate rip-off, can't see the point. If you're in a relationship you shouldn't have to be reminded to show affection to your partner on one day a year by spending your hard-earned dosh on over-priced mass-produced crap!

I only gave a valentines day card once in my life and I was damned if I was going to send it secretly after I'd paid 40p for it so I gave it to him at the school bus stop! His mates laughed at him and he never spoke to me again... :-(

Valentines Day is completely crap!

The only good thing about it this year is that we've got a football match in the evening!

They'll probably charge you double to get in,Mozzer.....but at least you'll get a free red rose for the ladies ::lol::

And quite right,Molly. What sort of retard needs a particular day of the year to tell someone how they feel about them?

Pikeylass:Not expecting any valentines now ::lol::

but.....despite all those arguments, which I agree with wholeheartedly,....i still can't get away from wondering whether i'll get anything or not each year... :-?

Have solved it in a way cos myself and two friends (also single) always send each other something silly that day. Using it as a day to celebrate your friends makes it far less depressing. :D

I think it's a load of sh!te....but at least it's only one day, unlike Christmas, which seems to last two weeks.

Am not a total misery, though....I quite like Easter.

Don't expect to get anything (well I say expect... KNOW I won't get anything ::lol:: ) but I think the idea is quite sweet - it's a shame when things become overcommercialised but if kept simple then nice enough in my opinion
