That we went for a scan today (half way mark) and the scan wasnt terribly clear but the radiographer was fairly certain we are having a little girl. Which is awesome cool, as my youngest is also a girl and there will only be 2 1/2 years between them, so hopefully they will grow up pretty close.

Indeed, my youngest (who is 2 years and 3 months) was around when we were discussing it after we got home with Minx-in-law who was babysitting.

She said "Mummy, I want to give a present to the baby"

I said "The baby is still in my tummy, you will have to wait until the baby comes out".

She said "Put the present in your tummy"

I said "Well we best make the present be chocolate then, and mummy can eat it, and the baby will get the present that way".

She looked at me quite crossly and said "No, Mummy, its not for you, its for my sister."

Already on the case. We have started a shortlist. So far it has about 10 names on it. We have a silly surname so have to choose wisely.

If only I really were called Minxington :D

My r-l surname is double-barrelled, so not everything "flows" nicely with it.


The current shortlist, which isnt complete by any stretch of the imagination is

Amy
Abbie
Stephanie
Isabella
Naomi
Alice
Melissa
Tamara
Natasha
Jasmine

Other daughter is Heidi

And I quite like the name Minnie, except for two things, "Minnie Caldwell" and Sharon Osbournes dog Minnie.

Otherwise its cool :D

I think Amy is a lovely name, and I like Jasmine too.
