Certainly a shock result. So unless someone steps up a level or two Bonnie looks certain to win. Nobody else looks even close to her level.
Tonights performance looked fit for normal compition as was reflected n her marks.

Strong performances have not prevented Broadway star John Barrowman making a surprise exit from ITV1's Dancing On Ice.

Despite coming third out of seven after the judges' vote, John and his partner, world junior gold medallist and three times Russian champion Olga Sharutenko, were forced into a skate-off after the public phone in last night.

They went head to head with soap star Stefan Booth and his partner Kristina Cousins after both pairs received the lowest public support.

The judges were divided over the two performances and the deciding vote went to Olympic gold medal skater Robin Cousins.

Despite getting the lowest score of the evening, former England football star David Seaman was voted into next week's show by the public.

The on-going row on the show between judge Jason Gardiner and Olympic gold medalist Dame Kelly Holmes continued after he said he had seen "Staffordshire terriers running across Hyde Park with more grace".

Dame Kelly retorted with: "My legs have won me two gold medals - what have you got, Jason?"

The show will continue next week with the remaining six celebrity contestants.

I think her reference might well be due to the way the muscles in her legs have developed for running that might restrict their movement in other ways which the other girls manage easily.

I remember years ago on Saturday morning tv someone asking a rugby player if it was true that he couldn't sit cross-legged. And because of the way the thigh muscles had developed it wasn't possible. I'm not saying in anyway that she resembles a rugby player but it might get the point across.

EXCLUSIVE:
BBC AXE SKATING'S MR NASTY

DANCING on Ice judge Jason Gardiner has been axed from the second series of rival BBC1 show Strictly Dance Fever.

The outspoken Australian was a judge on Graham Norton's dance show before switching to the ITV1 contest to ruffle more celebrity egos.

Gardiner, who is gay, said: "I've been controversially dropped by the BBC for doing Dancing On Ice because they say 'I'm now too synonymous with ITV.' This decision was made last week.

"I was meant to be working with Graham Norton, but all I can say is, there's only room for one gay in the village."

Gardiner, 34, who earned the title of TV's new Mr Nasty after his feud with athlete Dame Kelly Holmes on Dancing on Ice, blames BBC chiefs.

He told Now magazine: "I was naffed off. Apparently, I've been replaced by Wayne Sleep.

"I know I got on well with the producers from that show, so I think it's come from other powers." Mirror

Sean shown the door

Sean has, without doubt, been our most dedicated celebrity. But tonight, dedication was not enough for the former Corrie favourite when he was unceremoniously booted out of Dancing On Ice.

Maybe it was the gender bender – an inspired move that helped combat his problems lifting Marika – or the occasional wobble that undermined his performance of ‘Relight My Fire’, but the judges weren’t impressed.

By the margin of four votes to one, they chose to give Kelly another opportunity in the competition and send Sean packing.

Both he and Marika were obviously disappointed. “I wanted it, but it’s just fallen out of my grasp,” he mused afterwards. “I wanted to achieve more really.

“I’ve not been in a skate-off before and I didn’t know what it felt like. But I enjoyed it.”

Perhaps one of the problems was that he didn’t look like he enjoyed it. Jason commented that his facial expression while dancing was akin to a “dirty old man”, and he had repeatedly been told to relax by the other judges.

Still, despite the disappointment, Sean refused to be downbeat about it all.

“I had a great time on the show,” he confessed. “And I’m going to carry on skating.”

And with that, Dancing On Ice was down to its final five. Get all the latest gossip as and when it happens right here.

JASON ONLY HAS ICE FOR STEFAN!
EXCLUSIVE Temperatures soar on hit skating show Gay judge ogles ex-Bill hunk: By Melanie Swann

FLAMBOYANT Dancing on Ice judge Jason Gardiner has the hots for hunky competitor Stefan Booth, The People can reveal.

Jason, 36, famed for his cutting remarks in the hit ITV skating show, has slammed the former Bill actor's dancing - but lusts after his body.

An insider said: "Jason thinks Stefan is gorgeous. He keeps trying to sneak backstage to take a peak at him while he's changing. He says Stefan has a great body."

Stefan played a gay cop in The Bill - but The People revealed last month that in real life he is to wed stunning model Debbie Flett.

His dancing partner, pretty Kristina Cousins, is NOT a fan.

She is said to have branded Stefan, 26, "clumsy" and was heard saying she wants to ditch him.

Canadian Kristina, 25, blasted his performance last week, which left them in the bottom three for the third week running.

Our source said: "Kristina was fuming. She had high hopes of winning and is sick of Stefan."

Olympic star Kelly Holmes, 35, is also said to be trying the patience of her partner, Todd Sand, 41.

The insider said: "Todd is really mild-mannered but Kelly is obsessed about her dance routine." Sundaypeople

LOSER JOHN RANTS
By Melanie Swann

FUMING John Barrowman flew into a rage after being booted off Dancing on Ice last week.

An insider told The People: "Everyone fled when John went backstage. He was furious and red with rage.

"He was shouting and screaming that there were only ever two people on the show who could skate - him and Bonnie Langford. He thinks the people left in the show are nowhere near as good as he is."

Later Dr Who star John, 37, blasted judges, saying: "I gave them what they wanted and they slapped me in the face." Sundaypeople

EXCLUSIVE: ICE WAR JASON IS FROZEN OUT
EXCLUSIVE By Lara Gould Tv Reporter

DANCING on Ice big-mouth Jason Gardiner is being FROZEN out by fellow judges in a behind-the-scenes war.

Acid-tongued Jason has fallen out with Robin Cousins and Nicky Slater over his tongue-lashing of contestants on the hit ITV1 show. Relations with former Olympic gold medallist Cousins and Slater are now so frosty that they refuse to talk to him off-screen.

He's likened Dame Kelly Holmes to a "man in drag" and GMTV's Andrea McLean to "a giraffe having sex."

A TV source said: "Robin and Nicky can't stand Jason. They've had it with him. They hate how he has been so aggressive to the contestants and revels in his notoriety."

Meanwhile, ex-England keeper David 'Safe Hands' Seaman's dance partner Pam O'Connor was back on the ice last night - after he dropped her in training. Sindaymirror

CAMP STAR JOHN BARROWMAN

CAMP star John Barrowman is not a happy bunny since being booted off TV show Dancing on Ice.

The once-smuggest man on the planet was ranting non-stop about being given the chop to a pal on his mobile in London's Earls Court. The gay Dr Who actor, 38, was overheard yelling: "It was bloody unfair. Someone else should have gone. I was the favourite."

Get over yourself, Barrowman! Sundaymirror

DOUBLE Olympic gold medal heroine Kelly Holmes could miss tonight's Dancing On Ice contest after her partner was injured in training.

American star Todd Sands, 41, hurt his neck after a practice stunt went wrong.

He suffered whiplash and is battling to be fit for the latest round of the telly competition.

Former athlete Kelly's determined not to miss out on the chance of glory, but insists Sands's health comes first.

Last night, she said: "We had a big fall and Todd's really hurt his neck, so we're not sure what's going to happen. It's more important he's OK, though.

"It will either mean learning a new routine with somebody else or not doing the show."

The pair were trying a lift on Thursday morning when they collapsed in a heap, with Sands taking the brunt of the fall.

He was taken to hospital in an ambulance for X-rays, and has been working with physiotherapists since in a bid to make tonight's show. It wasn't known last night whether he would be able to compete.

Sands is among the world's top ice skaters and he and Kelly are one of five couples left on the ITV show.

Former England keeper David Seaman and Scots partner Pam O'Connor are still involved, as are actress Gaynor Faye, Hollyoaks star Stefan Booth and hot favourite Bonnie Langford.

Should Sands make it, he and Kelly will have to use a chair as a prop in their latest routine.

Other teams' props for tonight include a broom, feather boas, canes and hats.

Not so Bonnie for Kelly!

Our golden girl loses sight of the podium as she’s pipped to the post by Bonnie.

A cool, calm, catsuited Kelly was voted out by the judges tonight, in a spine-tingling skate-off that saw her pitched against rival skater Bonnie.

It’s been a helluva week for our Kelly, who struggled to sit down on the job when she was given a chair to incorporate into her routine, and then had the added anguish of partner Todd sustaining whiplash during training.

So as she entered her second skate-off in a row tonight, the pressure was really on to impress the judges.

And whilst they all pulled together and saved her from the chop last week, they took a unanimous vote against her this evening.

“This wouldn’t be the competition it is without her. I save Bonnie,” boomed Jason, who has come under fire previously for likening the Olympic star to “a man in drag” as she moves round the ice.

But for the lady in question, the overall verdict came as no surprise.

“I pretty much expected it to be honest,” Kelly sighed, clearly gutted to have been run out of the race at this stage.

“Obviously Bonnie’s been doing very well.

“She’s been very popular with the judges, so when it’s down to the judges you pretty much know what’s going to happen.

“But I did my best. I’ve done a lot in my life and this is another thing to add to it.

“It’s given me an opportunity to learn something I never thought I’d ever do, and it adds to my life experience.”

So whilst we wave goodbye to our rink royalty Dame Kelly, it’s fingers crossed that those left in the competition are fit and ready for the final countdown to Bolero.

And with Pam out of hospital this evening, let's hope David's back in the pack next week! [ur=http://www.dancingonice.com/main.php?section=news_selected&page=83]ITV[/url]
