Last night I started my diet. If I mention the word "pizza" on here during the next few weeks, poke me in the belly.

Yammy yammy - there were pizza available last sunday, but everybody else ate all of it and nobody left me any! :-?

Good luck with your diet foinavon! :D

My diet is to eat everything within reason any time of the year, any time of the day, no matter if it is party or a celebration or just basic daily life.

Hi foinavon

It's probably a good idea to make a proclamation about your ....em....you see, that's the trouble, I hate the word 'diet'....prefer 'Healthy Eating Plan'...(with LOTS of Eating ;) )

The first time I lost a fair amount of weight (apart from when I was pregnant, which was a rather drastic weight-loss programme) was in 1995, and I owe it all to Rosemary Conley and her F(l)at Stomach Plan...a combination of easy exercises, a bit of extra walking, and sticking to foods with less than 4% fat. 4% - the magic number. ::lol::

I ate lots of food - but loads of salads, and baked potatoes (that was before carbs became suspect. )

Of course, the weight eventually seemed to find it's way back on again - but I like to think of getting myself in order as something that happens every 10 years..so did it all again in 2005. ::lol::

It's very difficult to stick to a rigid 'diet'..the Weight Watchers idea of points and/or no banned foods seems to work well for many people.

Good luck with things - hope you can find a fun way to diet... :-?

I too am on a diet so good luck to everyone else trying :D

I am edging towards a 2 stone loss since Christmas but in that time I have treated myself to some pizza and the odd kit kat. I am a big believer in not depriving yourself ...mind you that may be why I need the diet in the first place

Every female that I know are somehow and someway pushing their braniac energy on a dieting. Do you know how many male persons do such of a thing in their daily lives? (Ok, I must admit that I know some males that likes to eat healthy) And there are always some females and males to telling someone else that you're too fat - eventhought that they are totally wrong about what they say.

It's not as much as what do you eat, but it's how much do you eat. You can eat everything within reason - that's my point, other thing is that how do you build to yourself a healthy diet to get daily enough vitamins, enough fat (fat is important), proteins, kalsium, water, fibers etc.

Eating a slice from a pizza isn't a disaster at all or eating one piece from KitKat - but eating all that at the same time or at the same day makes it different during the years. So if you can't eat everything within reason, you should better avoid food that you can't control yourself with it. And remember that drinking alcoholics makes people to eat more than they normally do.

Main target is that people have their inner balance with themselves and their bodies and with their eating-habits. That balance shouldn't be disturbed by fashion models, fashion photographers, fashion magazines, Barbie-dolls and fashion designers, movie directors etc.

I'll be eating chicken and pasta today with greenies!

Diet going well so far (though I did have a craving for a big bag of Minstrels late last night). I'm lucky in that I like salad, I don't drink and I tend to grill instead of fry food anyway. Thanks to everyone who's wished me luck. :D
