I was due an upgrade and went around all the phone shops and checked out the latest mobiles. I also looked online and narrowed it down to

Motorola v3i
Sony Ericsson w800i
Samsung D600
Nokia N70

Luckily my mate's daughter works in one of the phone shops so she got all of them out and let me look at them all at once but I still didnt know which to get, I like the look and feel of the v3i but it's menu system is kak and has few features.

I already have a nokia 6630 which sucks and the N70 is almost the same

I dont need an mp3 player so that cancelled out the w800 and I didnt like the d600.

So I went with the V3i (against the advice of everyone in the shop - it was the only one I liked the look / feel of, I also keep my mobile in my back pocket so need something thinish) Ive had it a day now and dont like it at all, I have the option of exchanging it in 14 days so I probably will I just dont know which to get. If anyone has experience of the above phones all feedback is appreciated

Mostly irrelevant I suppose, but I got a 6230i or 6320i whatever they're called and I'm not that impressed ttytt. Sorry - I know that's no help!

I've got the Sony Ericsson K750i and am most impressed. If I was to upgrade it would be to w800i. Looks a very good phone indeed.

I have a pinky/purple Samsung one that I REALLY like.

AND - it even tells you the time of the month you're most likely to get pregnant - a feature I find incredibly useful

one of my good friends has that phone (or one very similar depending on how many 'pinky/purply' phones Samsung make) as do a couple of folk at work and they certainly look cool.

Obo, I have a Nokia 6030 which is pretty basic. It isn't a flip phone and doesn't have a camera because I didn't want either of those plus you can get a pink cover for it so for me it was perfect. I actually think it's quite good though (depending on what you want to use your phone for, for me it's always just texting/phoning hence why I don't need anything fancy) plus it does basically live in my back pocket other than when at school/sleeping/it's being used. Oh, and it's pretty hardy which has been proven by the many times it has been dropped by accident

But yes, seen as it's not on your list there was probably little point in describing it but there we go

Felicity my daughter has a pink phone which has a facility on it to tell her when her period is due. Sounds like a similar thing it's called 'The Pink Schedule'

I would never need that HC. The fact that I feel murderous towards anyone who even looks at me, is enough of a sign that its due.

well there is that but maybe this phone tells you when to sharpen the knives

I'd go for Sony Ericsson, Obo! Eventhought that I have two Nokia's at the moment, one for work and one for private.

Apparently it's basically the same phone with a slightly improved menu system, I just dont like the look the w800i knowing me a white phone would get filthy.

Can you set delivery reports for all texts Morrissey? This is one thing I HATE on this v3i you have to tell it to send one every time you send a text which is proper annoying

Thanks for the advice everyone but I dont fancy a pink phone nor do I have the need in a phone of being able to calculate my fertility

I don't actually use delivery reports so can be sure but there is an option within the options to have them turned on or off so assume so.

The k750i is very good indeed, easily the best phone I've had and I'll be looking to get another Sony Ericsson when my contract expires unless I go back to PAYG.
