I wonder if anyone can help me with a small problem. I am a complete technophobe. Someone came and sorted out each member of my family with a separate account (I'm not even sure if that is the correct term) on our home pc. Before this, we just had one account. My daughter can't access The Sims 2 on her account and although I uninstalled it from the main account and then tried to reinstall it in hers, it won't allow me to as it says she 'can't access it because she doesn't have administrator priviledges'.

Can anyone explain to me how to install it under her user name?

I think I understand it (sorry if i've got the wrong end of the stick!). If you log into your account which is the admin one (first account you made), go into control panel > user accounts. Click on your daughters account, and click 'change account type', then you can set it to computer administrator. That should grant all the access she needs.

Thanks Satriani, I just did this and thought it would be sorted but when I went back into the Sims and tried to install it, it still said 'You need administrator priviledges'.
Any other ideas would be gratefully received.

Thanks Satriaini, I tried that and so had to re-install it in the main account but then when I went back into my daughters account and tried to do as you suggested, a box came up saying unspecified error.

Any other suggestions?
