It's not really the Jerry Springer Show that he is going to see Mari, they have made a musical of it called Jerry Springer the Opera.

It's website is HERE.

I have checked the website of Jerry Springer the Opera. That doesn't change me feeling :puke: I hope that it won't ever be shown over here. And that makes me think about Eurovision Song Contestants this year - I'm already ashamed of the so called band and a song that Finland is going to send to perform over there - :puke:

I'm suprised Cameron would go and see the Opera, I thought the show took the mickey out of Christianity? but I could be wrong, but I remember it was going to go to Birmingham and the local churches were in up roar.

Well the exact bit in the column is...

"Tomorrow I'm headed for His Majesty's Theatre to see Jerry Springer - The Opera.

I'm a bit nervous about seeing it because of all the controversy.

I'm apprehensive in case I don't like it and that it stereotypes me as one of the intolerant God Squad. I'm going to keep an open mind.

I've never walked out of anything in my life so I hope this isn't a first. When I was in America we went to see South Park - The Movie.

I'd never seen the show on TV and didn't know what to expect. But I can tell you I was offended by much of it. It seemed to be cheap and vulgar humour.

I like to think I have a great sense of humour. Yes, I laugh at other people's accidental misfortunes, like someone walking into a window. As a Christian I try not to use my profanities, but Billy Connolly is one of my favourite comics - and my local minister's.

So how will Jerry Springer go down with me? Watch this space."

Thought I'd better put it up as my summary was even worse than usual today. But Chad, surely going into it with an open mind like Cameron seems to be doing it always the best way?

much better to go and see the show in context and then form an opinion, rather than react in a knee-jerk way that some of these 'Christian Voice' organisations are doing without ever having seen it. Good on ya Cameron!

Even if you don't like it, at least you can say why you don't like it, because you've seen it. I saw it on TV....time for a discussion thread, perhaps? or is there one already?

Fair enough, go ahead to see it, but I think he may agree with the "Christian Voice" in the end, It will be interesting to see what he says about it?

I don't think it's fair to assume anything on Cameron's behalf Chad - let's see what happens shall we?

SO SO SO SO true. I've never liked the idea of people assuming they know things, and I've learnt the hard way sometimes, from both sides I have to admit. Some people are very bad for it and assume WAY too much about people or situations - hopefully I've learnt a (hard) lesson from it.

(Going tomorrow night, not tonight)

Look forward to hearing what everyone up there thinks of it. When I saw it in London, I was really rather suprised at my own reaction to it.
