Where have the missing threads gone?
Apologies.I posted this before I read the thread on general news.

i had an email from christine saying:

Hi again,

Well I have some news. Some good and some bad. As far as I can make out, the
site has been down for several hours and there is possibly a long while
until it will be back online again.

As you may remember, we had a lot of downtime not so long ago and I had
thought that after this, I would ask the hosting company to move the site to
another server, but it would appear that the server the site is on, was
having problems today and so the hosting company is moving all the sites
onto a newer server anyway, which is good, but the bad thing is, that they
are having to restore the site from a backup taken Saturday evening, so any
posts done since then will be lost. The last backup I did of the site, was
on Sunday afternoon, but for the little difference in time, the hassle
involved isn't going to be worth me using my backup really. Also, because it
is going from an older style to a newer style machine, restoring from
backups may be a lengthy process, so if you know the email addresses of any
other members, perhaps you could let them know for me please and pass on my
apologies. Thank you.

There was a problem with the server and it meant that some recent posts/threads were lost. I wouldn't automatically jump to the conclusion that it has been 'culled' It just happened and couldn't be helped. (I had an Email from Christine which is why I am posting this in her absence, hope that is ok Christine.) Anyway it was the servers problem not Christines so beat them up not her

May I say a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Christine for all the very hard work she did last night getting our LifeLine back up and running.

The Lost Threads are regretable but, at least it was not during a BigBrother Show.
