Think the bits that don't work sound like they out way the good bits.
Mean while I'll try modifying the source code for the browser I was playing with the other night to see what I can make it do. It's currently using the IE control but there is a Mozilla control that copies the IE commands before converting and sending them to the Mozilla one.
Never done much programming aimed at the Internet so I'm trying to learn on the fly. Now the free .net version would I think make things easier but the .net v2 fails to install for some unknown reason so I can't try the new version.
Sorry I didn't answer earlier about whether IE7 was better security wise but I've only just reread the original reply. Yes they say it's better but I think it's probably better at present to wait for a later release so they get a few more bugs out of it. They mention a possible security threat though they think it's too small to worry about in this release.
The fastest browser I've played with came as part of the Koppix Linux bootable CD operating system. Which is a complete preinstalled setup of Linux with all the programs you will normally need with a Windows GUI. The Browser really put IE to shame for sheer speed. The 700MB latest version is downloadable from the homepage. The whole thing runs direct from the CD with minimal hard-drive usage though you can store your setting on your HDD and you tell the system on the command line to look for them at boot-up.
