oh dear :oops:

I seem to be the only person then who gives these magazines house room.... :eek: But I spose I can at least take some credit for the inspiration for the podcast rant {@}

Felicity - that podcast rant was surely inspired by someting like an issue of 'Darkest Dorset Digest'. circa 1957! Perhaps you had it for historical research purposes?

but have to admit I've been buying them less, recently...as I realised I am a) never going to want to buy a handbag for £200, b) don't care that the latest must-have skirt actually looks like a mussed up hanky and c) don't have anyone to practice the 100 hottest sex tips of the month on

I laughed out VERY loud at this.......::lol:: ::lol:: ::lol::

I loved Cosmopolitan in the 1980's - was quite different then. Tom Crabtree and Irma Kurtz were brilliant. And even Marcelle D'Argy Smith was very entertaining (you appeared on t.v. with her last year, Cameron :D )

It was all about empowering women then. Yes, there was always the odd mention of sex (it's part of life, isn't it)...but nowadays Cosmo's a very different publication. Seems to fit in with the 'change yourself to be accepted' culture. :-?

But to be fair, I haven't bought it for years, and yes, if it's the Hairdressers, I'd certainly give it a serious look.

Its womans weekly for you these days though isn't it missus? ::lol::

Au contraire (that's French....we're very European, us Irish :D ).....I'll have you know that I've been EDITED here, for posting erotic smilies (hope I don't sound too proud about that :-? )...so there's still some life left in the old female dog yet. ;)

Go way outta that GG, I know that there's nothing you like better than to read the Womans Weekly gardening tips and admire the glorious colours on their crochet patterns over a cup of tea and a rich tea biccie :D

When are we going to the pub again by the way? ::lol::

You know me too well, Patsy. Although I've given up the knitting and crochet, as I worked out long ago, there's no way I can pull the wool over your eyes. :eek:

Pub? Before end of the month, perhaps?

What's this thread about again? Oh yes, Lisa...a lovely girl....very good with her two fingers.

Oh, I 'stole' them, from a Forum. I'm a habitual offender. Glad you were fooled into thinking they are pudgy gerbils - because they are actually rats.

Aren't they the same thing GG ? Gerbils are just rats in different clothes.

*runs from GG*

Only joking! ;)
