I have an Intel Webcam which I purchased in 1999.

I have since changed PCs and now use XP. Unfortunately the Intel cam isnt compatable to XP.

Any advice? Do I need to download something or should I just get a new cam?

I just put 'Intel Webcam and XP' into Google and there are lots of potential helpful looking results.

If you boiught an AMD pc not a INTEL chip one the software wont work from the install CD .. its nothing to do with XP compatability

HOWVER just plug in the cam in the USB port and go with what ever the plug and play thing offers. Now if you use MSN you should be able to use the cam in there ...etc

As I say you the software wont install but XP will automaticaly have access to a DRIVER to make it work, you just then need a applicatioon like MSN to use it or a web cam software downloaded from ZDnet etc ...
