Along with host Julie Chen, some familiar faces will be returning to the 'Big Brother' house.

CBS has announced today that this summer's edition of 'Big Brother' will be an All-Star version which will bring back contestants from previous seasons to compete for the $500,000 U.S. grand prize. The group might consist of some previous champions as well.

CBS also revealed that the first twist will occur even before the series begins. For the first time ever, viewers will help choose who will participate in the game from among a pool of 20 of their favorite former houseguests from all six seasons. It is thought that viewers will be able to vote via text-messaging and the Internet.

Hey, it looks like this summer's Big Brother 7 will be an all-star edition, with housemates that are picked by the viewers.

FLOMP! Oh, sorry. I just passed out from boredom for a second there.

Anywhatsit, according to the Reality Blurred website, viewers will be able to choose the residents of the house from a pool of 20 former house guests. This should be interesting since no one really knows who these people were in the first place. I mean, were there any Richard Hatch type of people in the house over the last six seasons, or Amarosas?

Neither CBS nor the producers of Big Brother 7 have announced how or when voting will occur. I'm sure there will be a tsunami of response when the dates and times are announced. I will be sitting on the edge of my recliner waiting for the snooze news.

Paging Dr. Kirby, Chicken George, and the faaaabulous Marcellas Reynolds! EW has learned that CBS will air an all-star version of Big Brother when it returns for a seventh season this summer. In the current issue of EW, we say who we'd like to see back in the hot tub this summer, but for the first time ever fans will get to choose who participates in the game from a pool of 20 former houseguests (BB6's Kaysar Ridha, stay by your phone!). CBS has yet to announce how or when voting will occur.

So far, the basic rules will remain unchanged for the all-star version: One by one, the houseguests will vote each other out of the house and at the end of three months, the last remaining houseguest will receive $500,000. And yes, Julie Chen will return as host.
