Thanks everybody.

It was a fun day. In amongst us were to semi-professionals ,but the girl who won seemed just you average person. It didn't sound as if she'd used anything more than a basic camera. And in case you noticed how much of her was covered up she suffers from light sensitivity.

Everybody there were friendly and cheery ,basically you couldn't ask for a better crew.

Apart from the supply of coffee ,toast ,and pastries we all had to go into make-up and were fitted out with mics.
We also got a tour of the studio before the show started and it's a lot smalled than it looks on TV. If you look at the spin cam for studio 8 on the http://www.londonstudios.co.uk it still looks much bigger than it really is.

Saw most of the guests ,with glimpses of Christine Hamilton ,and Philip.
The torrets guy is a great laugh. Think the only guest we didn't was the surrogate mother.

Did anybody pickup on the error fern made ? She called the Butterfly a Red Admiral when she should have said Peacock.

We have all got the enlargements from the studio to take home and like the rest of the runners up I have a small digital camera .My niece can have my £40 Argos pocket camera as she loves taking pictures. And tapes are being sent out with today's program on them.

I can't remember if they said there was 8000 or 8500 entries so everybody did really well to get in the last five.
My work colleagues tend to agree about the African picture but still it was a good experience.

I'm hoping that it is just a low bettery with the camera as I can't get any camera display. All menus were ok on the LCD but the battery was showing low.

Any how I've just ordered a 512K memory card and a compatible battery so I have a spare. From Valuemedia.co.uk and not Jessops as they are too expensive.
I did note that Jessops have 1GB cards listed for the camera but the instruction book says the max is 512K.

Fingers crossed when the battery is finished charging that the camera is working ok.

Well done Larry, it must have been a great experience and you will remember it for a long time. 8,000 + entries are a LOT to weed through and the judges usually have the odd argument or six ::lol:: ::lol::

I've just Emailed the producer ,I'm sure she'll know the procedure they have with Jessops for returns.

First appearance was about 11am then the results around 1210pm.

We have just been trying to workout where we could put the picture ,once framed ,on a wall. So far we can find a large enough space. The print is 25 1/2 inches (65cm) x 21 inches (53cm).
You now have to stand back to get the effect as it looks more like a painting.

I don't know how well the other pictures that were in the corridor came across but there were a lot of really good ones that didn't get through. I wish I'd taken a camera with me ,but I took the pocket one out so I had some where for the GPS. A lot of the others or their partners or family had cameras.

One question for the girls , who long does it take you to remove make-up ? I hadn't relised how much they'd used until I started taking it off. Must have taken me 10 - 15 minutes even with the proper stuff. Or maybe it was just me not making a very good job a getting it off.

Stage makeup takes a lot longer to remove than the regular stuff Larry. Of course you could always to what I do and just keep it on and let it come of on the pillow.

Good news is that I was offered two options for a replacement camera.
Send it back to Jessops or collect a replacement for a local Jessops store. So after a discussion with a relative I requested the second option. And he'll collect it.

At 5 Mega-Pixel dispite it's small size it'll be very interesting to see what it'll do. When it's got a 512Meg card that I've ordered I'll have everything set to max so it should produce some quality pictures.
And being small it'll fit into any pocket.

I doubt if it was more than 5 minutes air time of everybody in the 'Green Room' but more time was spent talking about the pictures. If I'd had a camera ,as I said earlier ,I'd have got shots of some of the great pictures that didn't make it.

ITV are sending everybody a tape of the show. I still haven't watched a recording though I did catch bits on the monitor in the 'Green room'.

I can't remember if you did 'This Morning' after BB but they are a very friendly bunch and did a great job looking after everybody.
