THREE men have scuffled with a guard inside security barriers the Big Brother house on Queensland's Gold Coast.

The men - two aged 23 and one aged 24 - were caught by security guards trying to infiltrate the house at the Dreamworld theme park about 7.30pm today (AEST), police said.

The Ten Network, which screens the reality TV show, earlier reported the trio had scuffled with a guard and a dog.

"They were apprehended by security guards when they got inside a wire fence around the area," police spokesman Brett Davis said.

"We believe they spent the day at Dreamworld before attempting to gain access to the compound."

The men have been summonsed to appear in the Southport Magistrates' Court on Thursday on trespassing charges.

OUR girls have had a busy few days in the Big Brother house.

They've revealed their "world-first" secret to the housemates - that they are mother and daughter - and the news has received mixed reaction, especially from the boys.

And while the Bay Post would love to have gotten the inside goss from nearby family members, Big Brother management has gagged them with contracts.

But, as the Batemans Bay women fooled the house for the prescribed time, Krystal and Karen Forscutt cannot be evicted from the house this upcoming Sunday.

Today's Day 11, and so far Krystal and Big Brother insider Michael have been caught entangled in various platonic poses. While nothing has happened yet, gossip about the pair is rife throughout the Big Brother website.

Since the Bay duo's announcement, Michael has told Krystal he is afraid to flirt with her in case Karen is watching.

Krystal told him that Karen would be "cool with it", but he's understandably a little reticent.

The blokes are now a little sheepish around Karen, especially the boys who admitted to Karen that Krystal was "a bit of alright".

David's interaction with Karen has remained the same; the pair are tipped to be a crutch for each other throughout the show.

Prior to Anna and Camilla's eviction on Sunday, Krystal and Anna faced off in a pointed battle over breakfast oats.

Both fiery vixens refused to back down and, as Anna was evicted, it's believed that Krystal won the tiff. But all victory is fleeting in the Big Brother House.

Camilla and Anna weren't truly evicted from the house, they were sent to the Revenge Room (insert manic laugh here).

There, the pair can watch the house on TV, and Big Brother has instructed them to cause as much grief in the house as possible; if they cause enough chaos, they could be let back in.

Fuming from the battle of the oats, Anna has focussed her attacks on our Krystal.

She's snuck itching powder into Krystal's bed, and refused Krystal hot showers for the past few mornings.

The results have left Krystal paranoid and shivering, blaming Big Brother.

"He hates me! It's only me. Why isn't it anyone else?," Krystal said.

Stay tuned for more Batemans Bay Big Brother updates.

How much is too much, Big Brother?

Or, should the question be: can viewers in the right demographic ever have too little Big Brother?

There's a reason behind the question: those in broader demos, such as anyone aged above say, 30-35, would find the question a little tough to answer and would probably say they don't mind the odd dip, but not full immersion any more while parents and those in their 40's and beyond would say: 'anything is too much'.

It's a real generational program, unlike Ten's other franchises, The Biggest Loser and Australian Idol which appeal to broader demographics.

So how much BB is on TV in this season?

Well, try 19 hours and ten minutes or so a day, give or take 30 to an hour extra in programs running over time.

That's how long the Ten Network will be devoting to BB: or more than 11% of the total weekly schedule.

That's out of 168 hours of TV programming a week and it's the biggest single area of programming based on the one program on any network, let alone Ten: only the Soccer World Cup in June and July will match it on SBS.

And a big investment on Ten's behalf; a figure well north of $35 million has been mentioned, while another says the amount invested is $40 million.

So no wonder Big Brother has turned into a veritable festival; it runs over six days, Sunday to Friday.

Seemingly, Saturday is rest day; but not in the house.

But there's a reason for this: Saturday is the day of lowest TV viewing each week and when the target 16 to 39 demographic is least home: out socialising, partying or doing whatever they do on Saturday nights.

Here's the schedule for this week

Daily 7pm 30 minutes weeknight

Sunday 6.30 1 hour

Sunday Evictions 1 hour

Monday Nominations 1 hour

Monday Adult/Specials 1 hour

Friday Night Games 1 ½ hour

Big Brother Uplate 2 and a half hours Weeknights (Monday to Thursday, with Friday's an hour and 40 minutes.

Odd special/extended daily show (eg. Tonight is extended when evictees get let back in.) So that makes Sunday night's 'Surprise Eviction" a Non-Eviction? Or a Clayton's eviction?

Ten's running so hard with Big Brother on Friday nights that it's around four hours of TV from 7 pm to midnight and the network has pushed back its usually solid rating combo if the Late News to 11.50 PM Friday and Sports Tonight at 12.20 am Saturday.

And why so much BB on Friday night?

Well unlike Saturday nights more people in the target demographic (especially from 16 to 25) are likely to be at home or watching TV somewhere than on Saturday night.

There's no school, young adults seem to have more control of the TV Friday nights (as some sort of parental reward?) and Ten obligingly caters to that possibility.

In a triumphant Revenge Room Return, Anna and Camilla crashed John's 21st birthday.

Camilla and Anna's challenge to seek revenge on those who had nominated them had been deemed successful and BB granted them re-entry to the BB House. Dressed in the clothes they had stolen from the House, and disguised as John's 21st birthday present, Anna and Camilla gave the House one nasty surprise. There was a mixed reaction, but there were plenty of screams and squeals as the HMs came to terms with the revengers return.

Camilla took great pleasure in telling all the HMs the details of the revenge she had exacted on them, and gloating about the spoils of the Revenge Room. Camilla was back, and her personality larger than ever.

Whilst Tilli had nominated Camilla for being "fake and forced", it was Tilli's turn this time as she squealed and smiled in mock delight at the girls' return. She quickly sought a comrade in Krystal as they realised the girls were wearing their clothes. Camilla assured Tilli that she would get out of her dress as soon as her bags were returned, but Tilli assured her: "No, no it's fine".

While Camilla seems to be back to her old antics, Anna's return to the House seems to signify a new beginning for the sultry blonde. Since returning she has already been into the Diary Room and told BB she wants to have reasonable discussions with those who nominated her and try to change the behaviour which was offending them

The Big Brother hot tub finally saw some action last night!

John's 21st birthday celebrations turned just a little bit saucy late in the night when several of the HMs decided to pile into the spa for some party games.
It started with a game of 'Dare' (presumably that's the same as 'Truth or Dare', but without the 'Truth'). Best buddies Jamie and Katie were the first couple to take the plunge (no pun intended). The enamoured pair didn't need much encouragement to lock lips, but it took a fair amount of effort from their HMs to prise them apart once they got started

Meanwhile, Camilla and Ashley paired up, and puckered up, for a friendly snog as their HMs cheered them on. "Tongue! Tongue! Tongue!" chanted the boys, but the couple had to stop when an attack of the giggles got the better of them.

But some of the HMs weren't so quick to join in on the debauchery. When the HMs suggested Anna should give John a birthday kiss, she politely declined, saying kissing is too much of a "personal thing" for her.

Not content to let the birthday boy go without a celebratory snog, the HMs set their sights on Tilli, suggesting that she should be the one to do the honours. Tilli refused, and laughed off the HMs' claims that she was "frigid". But eventually the joke went that little bit too far and she stormed off to the bedroom to have a cry. Tilli sobbed to Claire, Elise and Karen that she felt the HMs in the spa were trying to manipulate her. "I just didn't want people to try to force me to kiss someone, and then tell me I'm a bad sport for not doing it," she complained.

John may have missed out on loving for his 21st, but Katie and Jamie more than made up for the lack of birthday kisses last night. After snogging and cuddling in the spa, the pair continued their canoodling in the bedroom - but Katie wasn't too sure if they were doing the right thing. As Jamie hugged her close and kissed her neck, she worried out loud that they could be risking their friendship by getting too close. Eventually, she put a stop to things before they got too heated.

This morning, Katie was still confused about her post-pash feelings for Jamie. She told Elise she plans to make up her mind "quick sticks" as she doesn't want to "mess with his mind". But as for whether she's going to pin him down for the inevitable 'talk'? "Oh we will later," said Katie casually. "We'll just ride it out, wing it."

NEW city haunt Rapture has just announced it has secured the exclusive SA rights to Big Brother evictee appearances.

The first person booted out will appear at the North Tce nightclub in about three weeks at its Wednesday "retro" night, hosted by DJ Nikki Heuskes.

Funnily enough, the now defunct Heaven nightclub had the exclusive rights to last year's BB evictees and the club owners - Chris C and Souli - are former Heaven staff.

SHOCK! Horror. Big Brother is under investigation from the Queensland government after electric poles were used to punish housemates in last week's quiz task.

During the show, housemates were eletrocuted if they gave the wrong answers.

The stunt caused outrage from some of their families, and condemnation from some observers that it promoted violence.

Now the local government which covers the area where the BB compound is located have launched their own investigation into whether safety rules were breached.

Staff from the council have visited producers of the show - according to fansite http://www.behindbigbrother.com to discuss the issue with them.

SHE MAY be best known for her controversial breast enhancement, but Big Brother mother Karen Forscutt, 36, is hiding a heartbreaking past.

Only 18 months ago she was crippled with depression when her 15-year marriage ended, leaving her with a mortgage and three children to support.
"Karen went through hell," her sister Jodie Forscutt, 39, of Wollongong said.

"It was a mutual decision they split, but you don't expect it at that time in your life to just be left all on your own."

It was not the first time the postal worker from Batemans Bay had been walked out on.

As a 17-year-old Karen was abandoned by her then boyfriend when she fell pregnant with his child.

"He wasn't ready to be a dad, he was too young and he just walked out," Jodie said.

Karen decided to go ahead with the pregnancy and gave birth to Krystal, now 19, who is also on the top-rating Channel 10 show.

Like her daughter, Karen also never knew her biological father after he was killed in a truck driving accident when she was a baby.

Karen and Krystal have received criticism after revealing on the TV show they both received breast enlargements together and that Karen had backed Krystal's semi-nude photo shoot for a men's magazine.

Jodie said the breast enlargement was a gift from their older sister Donna to help boost Karen's low self-esteem after her marriage had failed.

"Mothering had taken its toll on Karen's breasts and she was very self-conscious about it," she said.

Winning Big Brother's cash prize would help Karen "enormously", Jodie said.

"She makes sacrifices and always makes sure the kids don't go without.

"It would help her out financially with the kids and with life. She does struggle."

Psychology student Tilli and finance analyst Elise have been evicted from the 2006 series of the reality television show Big Brother.

South Australian Tilli, 19, who created an early stir by kissing gay housemate David, was the first to be ousted from the sixth series.

Voting graphs on Sunday's show proved Tilli was clearly the most unpopular housemate of the five who were nominated this week.

This year viewers can also vote to save a housemate as well as evicting one.

"I'm completely calm right now, I thought I'd be freaking out," Tilli said when she arrived on the eviction stage.

In a surprise to the housemates, Elise, 21, from NSW, was also kicked off in the double eviction.

Elise, by her own admission, was struggling to be herself in the house.

"I was just shocked by the people I was faced with," she said after being kicked off.

"I always thought I was a loud and dominant character, but you're faced with such strong personalities it made me crawl into my shell."

Last week, housemates Camilla and Anna were evicted from the house after the other contestants deemed them the most annoying.

But in a twist, they were allowed to re-enter the house after they satisfied Big Brother's request to exact revenge on the other housemates.

Prize money for this year's series is currently $645,000.

TILLI Clapham may have been the only Adelaide Big Brother housemate to be booted in the first official eviction night of a series, but she reckons she'll still be able to extend her 15 minutes of fame.

The 19-year-old psychology student told (Confidential) yesterday that although she wasn't expecting "heaps of offers - I think my personality hasn't gone unnoticed".
"I'd love to do something in the media, something like Nova (91.9)," Tilli says.(Well, there is a possie vacant since Jodi J. Hill's resignation. . .)

The feisty brunette was unrepentant about her catty nature in the house. "I went to an all girls' school - I think (being catty) is sort of a given," Tilli says.

"It was exaggerated but that's what I went in there to do - to stir up some (trouble)."

When asked exactly why, she says: "Because I can do (cattiness) well."

While Tilli shared a "platonic passionate kiss" with gay housemate David Graham in the reality show pad, she says she actually has a soul mate on the outside, whom she'd refer to only as "Locky".

HEALTH enthusiasts have lambasted this year's Big Brother - dubbed the "best looking" series yet - for setting unrealistic ideals.

And it's not just the gals - the hunks in the house are also proving a problem for blokes on the outside, according to Adelaide men's health researcher James Smith.
. . . it's important to realise we do live in a social world where there are different body types," James says.

Tara Bates, the women's vice president of the Student Association of the University of Adelaide, says food and exercise are misrepresented in the BB pad, sending mixed messages to viewers.

"The contestants are always watching each other eat and then talking about how much the others eat, so food is a huge part of the Big Brother experience," she says.

Recent BB evictee Elise, above, says she was "shell-shocked at how young and attractive and appearance-conscious everyone was in the house".

To reinforce the positive body image message, the Students' Association will hold a lunch celebrating International No Diet day today, with vegies, donuts and songs about food. James suggested men could skip the gym instead.

So-called celebrities perform whacky tasks in silly costumes. Vomiting is a bonus.

Here's one to make you want to pluck out your eyeballs and dip them in salt. The vacuous competition of Friday Night Live, where so-called celebrities perform hilariously whacky tasks, featuring the personality-free pinheads of the Big Brother house. The tasks are physical rather than mental (this is BB, people), stupid costumes are a prerequisite, slipping and sliding on mud/foam/soap is preferable and vomiting is a bonus - nothing like a good spew.

Hosts Mike Goldman, Ryan Fitzgerald and Bree Amer inexplicably guffaw their way through this tripe. Do people really stay home to watch this?

BIG Brother housemate and mum Karen is praying she doesn't get the flick from the reality show on Mother's Day.

She is up for nomination in the Channel 10 series tomorrow with her 19-year-old daughter, Krystal.

Meanwhile, all the boys over at Home and Away promise they are not going to forget their mums tomorrow.

Paul O'Brien (known to most as Jack Holden) says "I'm going to send her flowers and a card telling her I love her and all the things she did for me as a kid and adult."

BYE bye, Karen - the oldest Big Brother contestant was last night booted out of the house. So much for Mother's Day.

The elder half of the show's mother-daughter team - famed for her breast job boasts - was booted out with 36 per cent of the vote.

It's probably good news for daughter and fellow housemate Krystal, though - now she can cut loose without feeling like she's being chaperoned.
