England doing very well on the first day of the Sri Lanka series. Trescothick back in and doing very well, Strauss did well before getting out to Muralitharan and Alisdair Cook is doing rather well at number 3 as well.

153-1.

Thank God we can talk about this and not the football ::lol::

I'll say! Superb little spell from Sajid Mahmood today.

It's been a superb all round performance from England. Awesome with the bat, hats off to Super Kev, Tressy and Cook. And they're just blowing away their batting lineup with ease thanks to Hoggy and Saj. 3 for 9 off 5 overs on debut is a stunning return. Looks like he could well be a good replacement for Simon Jones.

Good victory for England in the second test and yet another example to us all that Kevin Pietersen is the best batsman in the world at present. He deserves that title for that reserse sweep 6 alone let alone the countless runs he's getting.

Hoggy was never out, just when he was going to realise his potential and get a ton.

Bloody disgracefull batting by england, I've said it before and I'll say it again

Looks like Muttiah Muralitharan is going to destroy us to draw the series. England chasing 325 and are 127-6. Murali has all 6 and for just 34 runs off 22 overs. He's awesome.

I've no problem with Murali, awesome bowler who doesn't chuck it, it's been proven and a thoroughly nice guy on and off the pitch. Oh, and he's a Lancy legend.

His mate Malinga though, how the hell can his action not be suspect?

I think the basic off-spinner is legal, but the doosra is iffy.

100s years of test cricket, no-one before Saqlain bowled it, there may be a reason for that.

etill we've been complacent and poor in this series, Mahmood shouldn't of been dropped, if he was it should of been for Harmison, even half-fit, murali would not of bashed him for 30 odd runs, he'd of put it up 'im.

Still, Montys been the massive plus, perhaps the only one this series, but Fletchers insistence of batting disciplune, means the ole king of spain will be back, wven if the pythons hitting a few blows now.

In fact I'm not a contact lens wearer, but they say he had the wrong strength lens ones before. He has actually fielded a lot better this match, he may not be as bad as he seemed.

Hmm, ok pointless class rant here, but why are there so many poshos in the England team at the mo.

Why are we being led by Strauss, what makes him captaincy material, is it because we need a bit of the old stiff upper-lip old chap.

Last years Ashes had just one public schoolboy, the same as the England footie team, now we've got 3 and we're pish.

Of course it would be entirely fatuous to claim this is why we're crap at the mo, so I'm doing exactly that :D
