The rumours were right - Bonnie Holt will be a contestant in this year's Big Brother series.
Described by friends as "the life and soul of the party", the 20-year-old Loughborough brunette has been chosen to compete for a £70,000 cash prize.
On Saturday, the Leicester Mercury reported how rumours were rife in the town that she had been picked for the house.
A friend told the Mercury that Bonnie, who works as a care assistant, has always dreamed of being a star.
She said: "She told us she wants to be a model and she sees this as a chance to become famous.
"She told us all about going to auditions with her sister in Birmingham and how they liked what they saw.
"I don't know if Bonnie's got a good chance of winning. The public will either love her or hate her. If she's not booted out at the very start she's got a good chance."
The cat was officially let out of the bag at the weekend when a Sunday newspaper named her as one of the contestants.
In the News of the World, Bonnie, who is believed to been a pupil at Limehurst High School, in Loughborough, and Rawlins Community College, Quorn, is described as a "chatterbox".
A friend said: "She's great fun. She loves being the centre of attention."
Leicestershire's big hopeful faces some serious competition, however, according to the News of the World.
Vying with her for the cash and glory of surviving in the house will be a porn star, a stripper and a Glaswegian Asian transvestite.
