I loved the Lost Art, trolleydolley. It's very nostalgic. We had it on the list for our online book club on the ainslie site, though, and people either loved it or didn't really engage with it. Nobody actually abandoned reading it, though.

Just finished The Time Traveller's Wife, and am now moving on to 44 Scotland Street, by Alexander McCall Smith.

Thought I should have another crack at The Da Vinci Code.

I loved this book! It's one that uses lots of real places in it. I love it when they go to the Valvona & Crolla deli and cafe-I can picture it all! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I'm reading ''Never let me go'' by Kazuo Ishiguro I know Vagabond and ellie have read it. It's a real page turner. I doubt I will be able to sleep until I've finished it tonight. I'm about half way through at the moment and as vagabond said there is nothing complicated about the way it reads but I always have this underlying feeling of unease about it. That sense of fuzzyness about what the characters are going though and what will become of them. The main character doesn't know and neither do we only this vague feeling which is passed on through the book. Very good so far.

Thanks!

I'm not that far into it yet, but it's perfect for now, as it's in bite sized pieces, and I've so much work on that I can't devote much time to reading.

I did my degree at the University of Edinburgh, so I love reading about real places there too. I go back a lot. I don't know the Valvona & Crolla, though, so I'll have to look out for it when I'm over visiting friends in August.

BBoop - I'm glad you're enjoying Never Let me Go. I thought it was an amazing book.

I have almost finished ''shes come undone'' by Wally Lamb. what a powerful and moving read. I can hardly believe it is written by a man.

Isn't it wonderful Bboop. Don't you just love Dolores?

I am reading In Cold Blood by Truman Capote after discarding the last four or five books, I have picked up. I think I may stick with this one.

Oh her struggle through life is just so moving. You can see where it all unravels at each point. Last 100 pages to go.....

no but you've warned me something will obviously happen with Dante now. So far she is only looking for him. Honestly with friends like you.....
