TD...your post got me thinking, as I pushed the trolley around Tesco (no pun intended, really!)....
Was thinking how much it means to me to have people on here who'll join in all the silly debating we do about BB.
When it comes to it, BB is a loada krapp at times, but it's great for giving us something to talk about.
So I hope that as soon as you've 'viewed the procedings', Trolleydolley, you post your first impressions! And do join in the party - a launch party for me is something nice to eat, something a bit special to drink (doesn't have to be alcoholic), and people with whom I can share the fun with. Some of us will be posting into the early hours, I'm sure.
Cameron wrote that he's not sure which is better - launch night or final night - well, for me, it's definitely launch night, as I can look forward to months of banter on here with all the gang. There's so much to talk about - whereas by the final night, some folk have actually tired of BB, and if it's like last year, the winner is a foregone conclusion.
I'm afraid on the last day of BB6, I was in a bad state - not because I wouldn't see any more of Ant'nee, Craig, Makosi, etc...but because I knew I'd miss the 'craic' here. Gerbilmommy said to me then, "don't be sad, there will still be people on BBfans, (she actually said 'the nice ones'), and you will still get to stay in contact with them"
I'm so very grateful that people do stay on here - for a long time, it felt like Forums WERE my social life, and more than that, people on here brought sunshine into my life, in the midst of winter. Literally. I want to thank everyone who makes this place what it is.
And of course, it's also great to see familiar names returning at the start of each BB.
The programme's krapp....but we're the bees knees.

What a warm and wise post gerbilgranny - thank you. I was a bit fed up that I had to work on Thursday but you've reminded me of what I appreciate about this forum - not just the BB banter (which is great) but everything else too - chat, jokes, games, pontifications, double entendres, all of it - and new friends, even if we've never met.
I've never written so much on a forum ever - or met such nice people
So come Thursday, I will be sitting on the sofa with a nice glass of something, and will enjoy the launch night, albeit a bit late. And after shouting loudly at the telly, laughing at a funny costume or gasping in horror, I'll come and have a chat.
(actually I do think that although the launch night is great, the worst bit is when all the hms are in the house and for the first hour they're all talking over each other and it's all a bit disjointed)
So I will be around, even if I come to the party a bit late.
hope you enjoyed Tescos!
