Today's was rather substandard...

Gyles Brandreth walking up The Strand rather embarrassingly singing to himself so badly I couldn't work out what he was singing...

Trolleydolley, you should have put Acker Bill in here. I knew who he was! Actually I thought he was dead, he must be very very old now. What was he buying?

can't help you with what he was buying CT - just walked by and thought 'oh, that's Acker Bilk'. He's still pretty well known around here, must be in his seventies though.

aw, that's a shame, because Tom Cruise was in the post office this morning and I really wanted to tell you about it

Alan Whicker was in my post office today. Honestly.

And to tell the truth I prefer him to Tom Cruise.

Was he very dapper, like on the telly, or does he ever dress down? Also, was he collecting his pension? Details are everything, ellie!

Actually he usually looks a bit scruffy, but he was wearing a blazer and tie today and posted a parcel to someone in Spain. Not that I was being nosey or anything...............Oh and then he bought a pint of milk in the shop (the post office is at the back of the shop)

Well I am just too nosey. I once saw Oliver Reed in M & S and followed him to the till, just to see what he bought. A nice grey V neck jumper priced at £34.99.

Paul Whitehouse being rather loud and irritating for 9am in a posh Islington cafe and shouting some (obviously private as it wasn't obviously) funny joke with a lady who appeared to be his neighbour.

Aah seeing as though this topic is here, I was sat at the table next to Peter Kay in a Chinese restaurant in Manchester last month.
And no I didn't ask him if he was having cheesecake for dessert!!

Today I saw Psychology Student, Reflexologist and Gail's ex boyfriend Phil from Coronation Street going down the escalators at London Bridge Station. Notwithsanding he makes Gail look like a hobbit, he really is very very very very very very very very tall. 6'6" I reckon. At least.
