Matthew Evans and Olyn Therese Membian became the latest housemates to step out of Pinoy Big Brother house during Saturday’s fourth eviction night, leaving six teenagers inside to vie for the top spot.
For happy-go-lucky Matt, who got the second lowest number of votes at 32 percent, his eviction meant a chance for him to start looking for his biological father.
His American father left Matt and his family when he was just eight months old. Before entering the PBB house, Matt expressed a desire to meet his father even though his stepfather treats him like a real son.
Meanwhile, teenstar wannabe Olyn was overwhelmed with the number of people waiting outside the house to greet and see them.
"Salamat sa pagsuporta niyo sa amin at sa pagpunta n'yo dito," she said.
Olyn got the lowest number of votes at 18.8 percent.
Meanwhile, Michael Vincent "Mikee" Lee was saved and became the sixth housemate to remain inside the house. He got 49.2 percent of the votes.
Mikee will join Brenda Fox, Clare Cabiguin, Gerald Anderson, Jamilla Natalie Obispo and Kimberly Sue "Kim" Chiu for the remaining weeks before the public chooses the winner among them.
Also at the house, Big Brother pulled a surprise when he announced an end to the housemates' "pass-the-smile" task to help Jamilla’s baby, Miggy. The task was meant for the baby's cleft palate operation.
Big Brother said a team of doctors from St. Luke’s Medical Center will perform the operation on Miggy. A teary-eyed Jamilla thanked her housemates for their sacrifice and the doctors and Big Brother for the help.
In addition, two more children with cleft palate will benefit from the housemates' sacrifice.
The nominations on May 14 was the last for this edition. Voting for the big winner officially started Saturday.
