*cough, cough*..... Yes, I can see that!

Think Shahbaz maybe in for a troublesome time when he leaves the house. Don't think he should bank on peaceful times back in his "council house". Do believe quite a few people enter BB without REALLY thinking of the consequences.

He not only is inciting hatred in the other housemates with his behaviour......my concern is whilst he's in the house he's safe as BB will be watching out for him. (albeit he's making a rod for his own back - and should imo take responsibilty for his own actions) But what happens when true 'reality' strikes. I enjoy watching reality tv such as BB, but what of the loonies who take rtv too far.......I fear BB maybe have gone too far by inviting this man into the house. I know a lot of very friendly and kind Glaswegians but I also know the city harbours some dodgy types. Hope I am proved wrong and all will be okay in the end.

Just wondered....what if Shahbaz lived in your neighbourhood? Do you think he'd live a peaceful life following BB?

Oddly enough was reading some posts on another forum from someone who was from the same home town and he didnt have anything good to say about the man.

At first I found him EXTREMELY annoying and wanted to throw things at the TV but last night I became increasingly uncomfortable watching him.I'm not sure that he's not suffering from something like narcisstic(sp) personality disorder.He certainly displays symptoms of something along the lines:the desire to monopolise people,the need to turn every conversation around to himself(to the point of paranoia),the attention seeking behaviour even in excluding himself to get noticed,the extreme over-acting.
It brings up the question that came up during Kitten's stay in the house.Though these people have gone into the house voluntarily,how did such fragile personalities pass any psychological screening?

Mind you,you could apply this to most housemates!

FRIENDS of Big Brother star Shahbaz Chauhdry today admitted the only way to silence the camp Glaswegian was to tell him to shut up.

The 37-year-old cross-dressing entertainer has irritated every housemate since he entered the Big Brother house on Thursday.

He has also been driving viewers round the bend with his non-stop chattering and made housemates furious by stealing their food.

They had earlier gagged the motormouth in an attempt to get some peace in the pressure cooker environment.

Glasgow dance diva Mary Kiani, below right, who shot to fame in the 1990s with dance act TTF, is a close friend of Shahbaz.

Today she said: "I can honestly say that is him in real life. At no point have I seen him putting on an act. His reaction to things in the programme is exactly how he behaves in his wee flat in Yorkhill. They've had every bit of Shahbaz.

"He's a good friend, but he's high maintenance. The only way to deal with him when he talks too much is to tell him to shut up.

"They don't know him in there, so they don't know how to deal with him.

"He's really a very caring soul. What he needs is someone to look after, he just looks a wee bit lost at the moment."

The singer, who scored hits with When I Call Your Name and Let The Music Play, told how Kylie fanatic Shahbaz used to make up musical compilation tapes for her.

And she hopes the self-confessed disco diva, who boasts he's never had a real job, will use the programme as a springboard to launch a new entertainment career.

She said: "He was very much a big part of my life. We even had Christmas dinner at my aunt's and used to go to horse shows together.

"He's a big disco diva, he should capitalise on what he's got. He needs to get a dress, a few Kylie records, relaunch his career and he'll do really well."

In the west end where he lives, Shahbaz, is well known for his over-the-top-ways.

He is a regular customer at Gary's licensed grocer despite the fact he doesn't smoke or drink.

Neil Singh, 35, who runs the shop, has been following the housemate's antics on the Channel 4 show and has seen him in a few outlandish outfits.

He said: "We've known him for about 20 years. He's a really, really jolly person and is always game for a laugh.

"He will sit and talk to you for ages. He does talk a lot and he likes to be heard.

"But if he doesn't agree with you, he won't be afraid to say so.

"Most people know him from his Wonderwoman costume. But I've seen him in other women's clothes as well."

An influential mental health charity has written to Channel 4 to protest at the admittance of vulnerable people into the Big Brother house following contestant Shahbaz Choudhary's threat to kill himself.

Dr Andrew McCulloch, the chief executive Mental Health Foundation - which helps people survive, recover from and prevent mental health problems - has today written to Channel 4 director of television programming, Kevin Lygo, outlining in the strongest terms the charity's opposition to the treatment of mental health issues on Big Brother.

I haven't seen much today as been out but I have to say that I am worried about Shahbaz as he is clearly unstable.

I don't know why the producers though he was ok for the house, he is so unbalanced. I know I was very angry at the man yesterday but now I am concerned not just for his health but everyone else.

He does stupid tricks like hiding food to teach them a lesson what is there to stop him carrying it further - bleach in drinks etc to make them 'pay'. There could be no end to the possibilities of what he could do and lets face it what can the BB producers do?

If someone wanted to do something in the house, the camera people have to pick it up for it to be acted on and it will take time. If he really snapped there could be serious consequences.

I don't know what others think but I would feel a lot happier if he was taken out of the house sooner rather than later.

Ha ha. Sorry TCBon, I've nothing really against Weegies. (so long as they stay in Glasgow!)



I should think that the local Neds already make his life difficult. But it will be worse when he is finally evicted.

He could move, but it'd have to be somewhere less Ned-infested. Which in Glasgow, just isnt' possible. (in the council's stock of housing).

He'll make money when he comes out and perhaps get a presenting job, so he'll maybe be able to buy or at least rent in a better area.

You're right though, most neighbourhoods would treat him badly. My dislike of the bad atmosphere and ugly Weegies of Glasgow could be said of so many towns and cities across Britain.

The inmates have been given a laminate saying that he has gone. They are about to start fighting over the leadership of the Brotherhood.

I think he's a natural leader, rather than being bossy. Well, I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. The rest couldn't make a decision if their lives depended on it, and he comes up with ways to help them decide. Tonight he got them to decide fairly on who they would invite into the brotherhood, without telling ANYONE who to vote for. And I think it was as fairly done as it could have been.
