Care worker Bonnie Holt has become the first person to be evicted from the Big Brother house in the seventh series of the reality TV show.
The 19-year-old got more votes than Glyn Wise, 18, after an eventful first week that saw two contestants leave.

Dawn Blake, 38, was thrown out of the house on Thursday, with the producers claiming she broke a rule banning communication with the outside world.

Earlier in the week, Shahbaz Chauhdry, 37, walked off the Channel 4 show.

Bonnie, from Loughborough, was the bookies' favourite for eviction.

"I think I'm going tonight," she said earlier in the day in the diary room. "I haven't done any washing and cooking or anything like that."

But she added: "I would like to stay to get to know everyone. I don't feel like I know them."

She and Glyn, a part-time lifeguard from Wales, were both denied access to their suitcases for almost the entire first week of the show.

Programme-makers relented on Thursday and allowed them access to only those items they could name in three minutes.

Awww bless her, wasn't the crowd mean booing her? She really didn't deserve it. Mind you I don't think she deserved to be evicted!

()^ I agree with you, Patsy (the quote thing on here is doing me head in, so I've messed it up, a bit.)

She never had a chance from the start. Whoever nailed that clip of her together really didn't like her and she went downhill from even before she got out of the car.

Being treated like that on entry and not getting her clothes was just too much for her so we couldn't expect much more than a bland image.

 Bye Bonnie

I think Bonnie had rather a nice exit - she got plenty of cheers and had a good interview with Davina. I have to say, if I'd been put in charge of editing together her best bits, I'd have been tearing my hair out to find them, but good luck to her as she slips back into obscurity.

She never stood a chance.

Even from the beginning. Big Brother put one of the youngest contestants into the house first. You could see already she was out of her depth and more apprehensive than you would expect.

Then they put Pete in, clearly the producers hoping he would freak out someone as unworldly as Bonnie. Which he did. Had they decided to put someone with a bit more life experience, such as Richard or Lea, then that person would likely have sussed Pete had Tourette's within, say, twenty seconds. They clearly wanted to provoke a reaction to Pete in a one-on-one, so chose to send him in second, behind a quite timid young woman. It would have been fairer for both had he gone in later, say 10th.

Depriving them all of their suitcases was very mean and stupid. Especially for the females. Men can make do/rough it, but in this shallow society women feel the need to always appear the best they can. And these women were on national TV. Please Big Brother, stop this stupid clothes and make-up deprivation. It's old now and it never worked (much like Shahbaz).

Admittedly, Bonnie didn't help herself by being one of the quietest, most wet HMs of any series.

But what have Mikey, Glyn or Imogen done in the first week?

I am still not sure Mike is a Scouser, only because I have heard him say only three words. He has squelched more than he has spoken this first week.

Imogen is very pretty, but so far, pretty vacant. And Glyn. He's seems very slow (and for a lifeguard, that's not a good sign). I know he's only 18, and like Bonnie, must be nervous around so many loud personalities. But he is such a drip that so long as he remains in the house, Niknaks need never fear being dehydrated ever again.

It's no loss that Bonnie has gone, but in different circumstances, and in a different year, she may have survived longer.

Frankly, I am still disappointed with at least half of the HMs this year, and I worry that we are going to get a very poor series.

Here's hoping Monday brings two cracking HMs, this lot REALLY need livening up. If Big Brother had any sense, they'd present the viewing public with a choice of 2 from 6 and let us choose. So far, most of the production team's choices have been terrible. Time to make US Big Brothers and Sisters. Endemol and Channel 4 aren't up to the task anymore.

Perhaps the people at FHM or Nuts could offer Bonnie a sexy makeover to put a little smile on that grumpy little face of her's?

(Pause)

Oh dear, it's been a long day...
