Jenni Falconer...

Damn, is that how she got started?

What a great break for her and a tough break for the rest of us.

I should be glad Blind Date is gone, but nearly every program on Saturday Night ITV bears unholy testament to the success of that evil show.

Cilla Black: the only red thing to come out of Liverpool that I can't stand. Oh, and Sonya.

Speaking of screechers, the first time I ever saw DIVina was on a late night ITV dating show. It was very raunchy and full of contestants like Sleazer in male and female form.

Anyone remember that? Needless to say it was sh!t. And DIVina was sh!t as a presenter. But she was hot, hot, hot. She still is.

"God's Gift" it was.

Had to Google it. "Dog's Dinner" more like.

Found this synopsis for "God's Gift", believe me, the show was much worse even than this sounds:

"Four Lads (yes, the capital L is justified) who really fancy themselves try to persuade an audience of randy, drunken women (or, sometimes, gay men) that they really want to, you know, do it with them.

"A succession of rounds sees the men show off their (limited) talents in several different areas while Stuart Hall maniacally eggs them on, dreaming of his own Romeo days, long, long ago. The women vote as to which Lad is the winner, who then picks a lady of his choice (or a Mystery Date behind a curtain) for a night out on the town.

"Like Man O Man, but designed to be shown after the 9pm watershed, so anything really does go. About four or five hours after the 9pm watershed, actually."

Come to think of it, this sounds like BB7. Alas. Especially the first paragraph.

It was at the time of "carnal knowledge", for us insomniacs with few channels you had to watch it.

I even watched "hit man and her" when i was pished out of my mind. Which reminds me doesn't Grace look like a young Micheala Strachan?

Carnal Knowledge?

If I remember rightly, that Irish woman who does the voiceovers (incl. Eurotrash) hosted, and a young Graham Norton was kind of like her 'cheeky imp on the sidelines' sidekick.

*sigh* If I ever needed to determine where and how I wasted my youth, this thread is a good place to begin.

No more TV, ever! Including BB!!! ::lol::

That's the only thing on him that is extendable though.

At least to that length...
