I havent really got a problem with Lisa.

Yes shes loud , lad like and in your face but then thats good for a BB HM

However ... she cannot say ONE word without saying FOOOOKING before it and after it.

As a result we get no FOOOOOOOOOKING SOUND.......

Shes simply got to GO ..the house is too small where ever she is she can be heard unless they are in the garden. so we get HOURs and FOOOOKING hours of bird noises ....

FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKING GET HER OUT NOW!!!!!!!!

Haha Bunny, I have to say I agree totally, there's not much point in live coverage if half of the sound content is blanked out!!

Or.....the public could just decide not to get so het up about swear words. Lots of people use them. You hear plenty of them from children, because using these 'naughty' words makes them feel grown up or daring.

It's quite laughable to think that people have to be protected against hearing these words, when it's hard to avoid hearing them in real life (well, that's certainly the case in Dublin!).

I wonder how many people who watch live BB would actually be offended if they heard those words?

Yes, many people would be disgusted at the amount of swearing that goes on, but I doubt if they are the type of person who would spend much time watching such a low-brow t.v. show, anyway.

It amuses me that our Irish word 'phecking' (as it's pre-watershed, I've changed the spelling, just in case it scares the life out of someone) is acceptable. Clever lot, us Irish. Change one vowel, and the matter is sorted.

I admire people who don't resort to swearing - and who can use more imaginative adjectives. I just think that swear words are given a power that they don't deserve.

'At the end of the day' (now there's an abuse of the English language!)...a focail is just a focail. ('focail' is the Irish for 'word')

sorry GG I don't agree with you. I can't stand the amount of swearing I hear from her it is way over the top. I have talked about her gutter mouth before. It's all too easy to just get caught up in it and start using it over and over. I swear myself but mostly on here!! and certainly no where near that level.

I'm afraid it's somewhat her trade mark and a shame she has nothing better to show herself with :-? It's not big and it's not clever.

My point though, is that it's a bit silly that the public (who mostly choose to view the show) need to be 'protected'. I could understand it if these words were not in everyday use, but they are.

You're right, BBoop - it's not big and it's not clever (good BB4 quote, there -?) and it's a pity that Lisa has to say 'fooking' so much. ()^

I remember two friends of mine, years ago. One used 'strong' language all the time. The other one never did. One night they had an argument, and when the non-swearing one, Caitriona, shouted 'Oh Susan, go and fook off!' there was a stunned silence. We knew Caitriona really meant business, then!

but if it's live then laws have to be adheared too. There are warnings before the highlights programme of strong languae but if they did that on the live feed it would be one long warning. Also younger people would not be able to watch it. I know it's been said before that young people use it all the time and it isn't shocking but it would be to me if my 6 year old (or 12 year old) came out and said it after hearing it on tv. They don't here it from me in the home and I want to keep it that way as long as possible.

Nowt wrong with standards :D

Yup, although I agree with the theory of this thread, if she was up against the majority of HMs in there at the moment, I'd still have to back her to stay.

Maybe they could give her a chip like Cartman had in the South Park movie, which gives a small electric shock whenever swearing takes place!

Does anyone know if BB spoke to Lisa about her swearing? She seemed noticeably more restrained last night and actually apologised in the DR when she blurted out the 'fook' word?
