Well WE DID IT!!!!! :) :)

It was pouring with rain at Aintree but we completed it with 4000 other women, it was very difficult to run all the time with so many people to get past, some were on mobile phones, some were wearing sandals! ::lol:: But we got there in the end, without having to face Becher's Brook

It was really emotional, reading the backs of people as you go along, saying who they are running for. When we had the minute's silence before we started, I felt so tearful - it was a really wonderful experience and I know Emily enjoyed every second. She wants to do it again next year  :-? ::lol::

Since then we have been to the pub and I have fallen asleep so everything is back to normal now  ::lol::

If anyone wishes to sponsor us, please PM me for details. :D

Thanks for all the support everyone - means loads to me, it really does @^@

Of course you can say congratulations in this thread for The Race for Life. The point of the congratulations thread is for smaller things that don't really merit an individual thread yet members think they are worthwhile celebrating - just to keep it all together. ()^

Well done to those of you who have done it today and anybody I haven't said it to already :D

Well done all!!

Has anyone got their watch yet?

Im desperate to know what it looks like I very nearly said I didnt want it cos I felt it was a bit crap accepting a watch when it's supposed to be for charity but my mates all told me to say I wanted it, I paid my sponsor money in around 5 weeks ago if not longer and still heard nothing - I understand they have lots of admin and all that but they've sent me 4 emails reminding me to pay my sponsor money (after Id paid it) but not one thanking me for actually paying it!

I cant help but think the whole thing could be organised better with less posting for example if you register online you could print your own number and sponsor form thus saving them thousands in postage and admin, they also sent my mate about 5 items separately in the post which I felt was a bit of a waste of money too...

Oooh blimey hark at me moan moan moan
