Always wondered how they workout the 'burn factor' for a forecast.
Looking at todays forecast for this area it shows the index as moderate ,but today have been very overcast with dark clouds most of the day. There were only a couple of 5 - 10 minute breaks in the clouds.
At times it was so dull that the lillies and daisies started closing up like the do towards the end of the day. Even the Yellow thistles kept the flowers open long then normal. If you hadn't noticed the Yellow thistles have the flowers open for a for hours in the morning while the sun is low before closing them again. Later in the day some reopen with a fluffy type seed head.

Think showers were forecast originally for today and tomorrow but nothing happened today and the forecast has now changed with the earliest forecast of rain being Friday.

Getting back to the original question how do the decide how much UV will get through to give the ratings ?

There are Channel 4 highlights and on live feeds Nikki is packing her suitcase and you're talking about the weather!

Today was the first day I haven't had the feed running on the laptop outside while I've been working out there. But it looked like rain all day and I didn't fancy pulling the plug in a hurry if it started raining. I suppose I could just have moved it into the shed.

The feed is running now.

I never watch the highlights during a series as I prefer to make by own mind up about the HMs off the feeds. I stopped watching them during BB3 when I started noticing the order of events being changed to make others look bad.

ahhh ok.

So when someone says they were edited badly, when they were just horrible, you would know!
It's funny how no one ever says ''oh I was a right git in there, but they edited me to look really nice''

I used to watch the feeds obsessivly at least 6 hours a night then have the running through the night etc.
You do notice the bits that have been missed off or events in the wrong order. The last series I watched that much of was BB4 with both feeds running on two monitors on separate PCs and recording the tv shows. And the only shows I watched after the series finished was BBLB. I admit to watching the final night again in case I could see myself in the crowd.

The feed is now on the laptop so I can use this PC on here.
