CARER KIM PICKED AS TRUE ROSE
Tickets ready, plane and hotel booked. Our lucky Golden Rose winner is all set for her romantic holiday in Paris.
Social worker Kim Duguid was the envy of hundreds of North-east women when the Evening Express's very own Romeo picked her to win our Valentine's Day competition.
Former Big Brother winner Cameron Stout travelled from Peterhead to Stonehaven presenting deep red roses to girls of all ages across the area.
He had to choose just one of them as winner of the Golden Rose - someone who stood out from all the rest of the ladies.
And on a cold winter's night in February our Prince Charming turned up at 28-year-old Kim's home in Aberdeen's Cornhill to give her the biggest surprise of her life.
Cameron said: "Kim had to be my winner. She was unforgettable - so cheery, bubbly and excited. She stood out from all the rest."
A Robert Gordon University graduate, Kim works at the Horizons rehabilitation centre at Woodend.
Her boyfriend, George Robertson from Rosemount, is a social worker at the Momentum mental health charity.
The couple are winging their way to the Capital of Love on July 27.
They'll be staying at the chic, boutique-style Golden Tulip Opera Hotel, a stone's throw from the Louvre museum.
And they've already booked their tickets for the Eiffel Tower and Disneyworld.
Kim said: "I can't wait. And I still can't believe I once had Cameron sitting chatting to me in my house.
"I've never won anything before. But now I've so won!"
