I thought Japan 2002 was the worst I've seen. France '98 wasn't up to much either.

All the 'rated' teams and players were poor. Just look at Italy, their 'star' man, Totti, was dire. Their vaunted strikers were hopeless, and Pirlo hit about 4 good passes all tournament. Italy are a poor team. (Having said that, they'll probably gub us. As will France. Oh well.)

The older I get, the more football just looks like a bunch of brainless oafs pointlessly chasing a ball around a muddy field.

Which if that is all it is, makes me curious as to why England, Scotland or Wales cannot win the World Cup. We've an abundance of imbeciles on these isles. As every BB will testify.
