Im compiling at CV and speculative covering letter at the moment- any tips? I dont have much work experience at the moment due to lenghty study and illness.

Is it illegal or just morally wrong to lie on a CV? On the CV Im compiling at the moment, Im considering enhancing my A-Level grades- is there any chance I would get found out? I have never been asked for proof of grades or qualifications at any previous interviews.

I was also wondering, completely innocently, if it is possible to purchase fake A-Level certificates online? Ive searched eBay to no avail. If so, can you point me in the right direction?

Thanx.

Well I don't know about jobs but for my uni interview they were VERY strict in wanting to see my official exam certificates.

Sorry I'm not sure on the legalities but would expect that it is illegal because if everybody did it then nobody would know the truth.

Would you not feel happier just writing down what you have achieved truly? That way there is no way that you will be caught lying and I'm sure you will be able to impress, it's not all about grades.

I know people who have lied on CVs but it was made an offence a couple of years ago.
In the same way an Employer cannot legally lie when giving references.

I have a few Ebooks on long these lines.

First one may be useful for ideas as it's aimed at the over 50's.

McGraw - Resumes for the 50+ Job Hunters with Sample Cover Letters.

The more useful ones

McGraw - 201 Killer Cover Letters.

McGraw - 201 Best Questions to Ask On Your Interview.

They are in PDF format but can be Zip'd.
Not sure if either are allowed for PM but I'd guess files size might still be too big.

PM me if you'd like them Emailed to you.
