Brendan bawls at Pretty Woman

Brendan shares a moment with his fluffy friend

What do Brendan and Sophie have in common? They are both hopeless romantics at heart!

Ensconced on fluffy duvets and feather cushions, the celebs gathered round to watch Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in Pretty Woman - but two of our stars were soon calling for the tissues.

Mopping up floods of tears, Sophie sobbed that the relationship between Gere’s character and Roberts’ prostitute, reminded her of her romance with ex-fiancé Robert, saying: “That’s how my fiance used to treat me…” before relieving the shocked celebs and adding, “…Amazingly! Oh that movie gets me every time.”

Then noticing the dancing don’s soaking face, Sophie asked: “Did it make you cry? We are a soppy pair aren’t we?”

Cringing, Brendan admitted: “Yes I’m afraid so,” before waxing lyrical about how cathartic his cry had been. “Oh man that was fantastic, I can’t tell you what that did!” he cooed.

Kate’s kiss wish


She’s only been on Love Island since Sunday, but cheeky Kate has already decided which of our boys she would rather get down and dirty with.

Lee is the blonde beauty’s first choice, but if push came to shove, Kate admits she wouldn’t mind a round of tonsil tennis with any of our luscious lads.

“I wouldn’t have a problem with snogging any of the boys,” Kate cries, “I wouldn’t vomit or look at them and think, ‘If I kissed you I’d puke.’

“But if someone had a gun to my head and said ‘Katie, you have to snog one of these boys or you’ll die, I’d say, ‘I’ll snog Lee.’ Just because I feel like I’m friends with him the most out of everybody.”

And it looks like bad luck for sex-starved Brendan, after their romantic night in the Love Shack, Kate has decided the ballroom bounder is definitely not the man for her.

“I don’t really connect with Brendan like that,” she mused, “He doesn’t have my sense of humour, he’s just too obvious.”

Though Kate can see herself following in footsteps of Lady V, Sophie and Colleen, to enjoy a saucy saliva swap with Brosnan Jr.

“Chris I really like,” she admits, “I like Chris as much as Lee but obviously I’m spending more time with Lee because Chris is shacking up with Colleen. I like talking to Chris because he’s funny, he’s got that sparky personality.”

Yes Kate, Chris is certainly “sparky”!

Calum forgives Kate



Proving once again he’s the Best man, Calum decided not to hold a grudge and forgave jabbering Kate for calling him the “foul-mouthed biggest drinker”. Holding out his arms to the bubbly blonde, he showed there were no hard feelings with a huge bear hug.

Relieved the stand-off was over, new girl Kate admitted she had failed realise comments about his drinking habits might offend him.

Explaining her confusion she said: “Lee came back and was like ‘he’s got his reasons’ and I just didn’t understand.”

“Don’t worry about it,” he told the stressed TV presenter, “It’s all good and I would rather we have a wicked time than have tension.”

Kate then told him: “Last night I just didn’t think. I can totally see your reasons for being upset so I’m totally sorry.”

“Cool no worries,” insisted Calum. And once more, peace was restored to the island.

But how long will it last?

Kate meant absolutely no offence - her comment was a throwaway remark about Calum being a bit of a lad who likes a drink.

Kate was highly emotional thinking about her own dad after the words spoken between her and Calum.

Kate's chatshow was hilarious last night - full approval given by the islanders - but the 'warm' Jayne Middlemiss(who is ten years older than Kate) had to disagree.

Kate has made a real impact on the programme - tho I don't think she should have appeared.

Mind you, even Ally Ross hardly mentioned Kate today.

I hope she doesn't come anywhere winning & neither should she - the women who started the programme should - but Kate won't be bothered about that.
Kelle & now even Sophie think Kate is a great addition.

Sophie should win on comedy soap character value alone - far more charismatic & interesting than dullards like Nikki & Aisleyne on BB7.

Ummm, I'm a little confused, wheres Me-shell Base, weren't the sleb x-factor people and the sleb love island people meant to be fighting for her appearance, doesn't seem either of them won that battle. Still she has said that being a glamma model is the ultimate she can be, sadly true I fear.

Mind you its not as terrible as I thought, this show, Sophies entertaining, Kates funny and Brendans worth a smile. Jayne Middlemess is quite surreal on the subsidary prog, not sure if its funny or infuriating?

Keeps me away from watching nikki on BB7, so its a great blessing, in its way.
