:-? No surprases there then sir alan was going to chose michelle as her background was more in accord with his and he seems to really admire her hmm . whreas I wanted ruth to win as she performed well at every task win or loose she was always the one that did the most achieved the most and sold the most and got everyone to either work with her or bring in the most sales herself. a true winner but... imo sir allan did not like her forcefulness and her over zealous remarks neither did he seem to accept her gender leaning, hes old school. personally I think Ruth would do a far better job at anytime than Michelle not once did I see Michelle as a winner she never seemed to do much of anything achieve anything special or have any real input of note ever. Very dissapointing result

Sweet Or Sour?

“IT just shows you don’t have to be cocky,” says Michelle Dewberry in the Sun.
The Blonde v The Badger

For those of you with lives, we need to tell you that Michelle is the winner of TV’s The Apprentice, the show that gets tycoon Sir Alan Sugar to select his protégé from a bunch of wannabes.

“For someone like Sir Alan to recognise my abilities is unbelievable,” says Michelle. “It shows you don’t need to be loud and cocky and bolshie – just work as hard as you can and you’ll get on in life.” Or, failing that, you can always appear on a TV show and take the shortcut to fame and a £100,000-a-year salary.

But this is not to say Michelle has not worked hard. As the Mirror says, over two pages, she has survived her dad’s bullying, her sister’s tragic death and created her own successful freelance consultancy business.

Michelle is, as the headline says she is: “PREMIUM BLONDE.” Yes, Michelle is blonde.

And, incidentally, in this TV popularity contest, the woman she beat in the final was not. Indeed, Michelle’s agonist, a certain Ruth Badger, is far removed from being a svelte blonde like Michelle.

Ruth is a brunette, forthright, generously proportioned woman who has engaged in “lesbian affairs”. She is the woman who said: “I won’t roll over and let Sir Alan tickle me.” Such an image may have gone against Ruth in the final reckoning.

“Great TV but it isn’t the business,” says the Mail’s commentator Leo McKinstry. But, of course, he is wrong – powerful man hires pretty lithesome blonde to work under him is the archetypal story of the boardroom...

Apprentice Winner Michelle Dewsbury Slams Fellow Contestants

'The Apprentice' winner Michelle Dewberry has slated her fellow contestants.

The former check-out girl has been quick to turn on the other contestants since being crowned Sir Alan Sugar’s latest protégée on the hit BBC2 show on Wednesday (10.05.06)

She said: “The show’s over and I don’t miss any of them. They don’t like me and I don’t like them – that’s the way it is.”

The blonde beauty, from Hull, didn’t hold back and labelled fellow finalist Ruth Badger “loud and cocky”, salesman Syed Ahmed as “arrogant”, headhunter Paul Tulip “a big fat idiot’ and lawyer Karen Bremmer “a cold-hearted b**ch”.

The BBC has since been accused of ‘fixing’ the outcome of Wednesday’s final – which saw Michelle and Ruth Badger stage separate parties at London’s tower.

It has emerged that both finalists have been employed by Sir Alan for the past six months, and his final decision was in fact made over a lunch in a City hotel – not in a boardroom surrounded by cameras.

Fluff & Fluffer

“WOULD Michelle have won if she was a minger?” asks the Sun. And looking at the pictures of willowy Michelle Dewberry, winner of TV’s The Apprentice, we ask: “Would she be in the papers if she wasn’t blonde?”

To the Sun’s poser, Saira Khan, who was the losing finalist in the last Apprentice series, says “No”. Dark Saira says that business is about “performance, sales, profitability and work”. Saira is not overly attractive.

On the other hand, blonde Michelle Mone says “YES”. Michelle created the Ultimo bra empire. Michelle thinks her namesake is hard working and the right girl to help Sir Alan Sugar in the boardroom. Michelle is more attractive than Saira.

The Sun says this is “THE BIG QUESTION”, and indeed it is. But before we chew things over, and then vote for the blonde, the woman at the centre of the debate pops up in the Express to say: “The Apprentice was not a popularity contest.”

Really? Time to hear what beaten finalist, burly brunette Ruth Badger, thinks it was. Say she: “Sir Alan made me get down on my knees and prove myself.”

It wasn’t a popularity contest and it wasn’t one of those kind of show’s either. Sir Alan is a reputable businessman, not a politician auditioning secretaries and interns.

Of course, this show was just reality TV. And that means it was full of people desperate to be noticed.

And here comes blonde Michelle to tell the world, via the Star’s front page, what she “REALLY” think of her “Arrogant grumpy bitchy and fat” agonists.

Such is the business of TV... anorak

TV MICHELLE'S THE APPRENTLS ISLAM

She becomes Muslim to wed Syed

APPRENTICE winner Michelle Dewberry is to convert to Islam after falling pregnant by Muslim co-star lover Syed Ahmed.

Sources believe it means the pair are set to wed.

One insider said: "Michelle has been to see an imam at Syed's mosque. For Syed and his family, it's important the baby is brought up as a Muslim.

"A baby's mum has to be Muslim in order for it to be taken into the faith. It's going to be a long haul for Michelle with intensive courses in the religion, its history and its practices."

The source added: "Syed wants to do the right thing by Michelle and the baby so it's only a matter of time before he pops the question.

"He wants the baby to have a stable family and his family think it's a good idea." Michelle, 26, discovered she was expecting Bangladesh-born Syed's baby last month.

She had started a £100,000 job with Sir Alan Sugar in May after winning his BBC2 show this year.

Her relationship with rival-turned-lover Syed, 31, has been turbulent. They broke up briefly after she criticised him on the show.

MY THRILL AT BABY, BY SYED

APPRENTICE reject Syed Ahmed told last night how "thrilled" he is to be having a baby with show winner Michelle Dewberry.

The IT salesman, 32, also said he is desperate to wed his former co-star - ideally before the birth.

He said: "Yes we are together and we are going to have a baby.

"I am thrilled and excited at the prospect of becoming a father."

The pair met last August when the hit BBC2 show began filming.

He said the attraction was "pretty instantaneous" but nothing happened until filming ended.

Now he cannot wait to get her down the aisle.

He said the only hurdle is she has not said yes yet, admitting: "She's definitely thinking about it."

Syed revealed he would like Michelle to convert to Islam as cultural differences have driven them to split twice.

He also rubbished rumours Michelle had been put on gardening leave by her boss Sir Alan Sugar and that there was a rift.

Trump fires Apprentice sidekick

Property tycoon Donald Trump has fired one of the executives who starred alongside him in hit US TV show The Apprentice.

Carolyn Kepcher, who has worked with Mr Trump for more than 10 years, became famous as one of two tough-talking boardroom judges.

But Mr Trump's spokesman Jim Dowd confirmed she was no longer working for the Trump Organization.

Production of the sixth series of The Apprentice has just ended in the US.

Apprentice Khan wants more polls

Former The Apprentice contestant Saira Khan is launching a campaign to give people a greater say on major issues through the use of referendums.
Her campaign, entitled Our Say, aims to give the public "a direct say over the issues that really matter to them".

A poll would be triggered by a petition supported by 2.5% of voters, which is 1m people nationally or 4,000 locally.

Ms Khan insisted: "Politicians have to get serious about sharing power with the people."

MICHELLE CHECKS OUT WITH PAYOUT

EXCLUSIVE Sugar split with TV Apprentice

By Lara Gould Tv Reporter

APPRENTICE winner Michelle Dewberry and her business mentor Sir Alan Sugar are to sensationally part company.

The ex-checkout girl who beat 15,000 rivals for her £100,000-a-year job with Sir Alan is to leave his Xenon Green computer disposal firm.

Thirteen days ago she set up her own company, Michelle Dewberry Limited. Both sides are eager to play down the split.

But the Sunday Mirror can reveal that Michelle is to accept a "substantial" pay-off to leave the company after a series of secret meetings.

It is the latest in a series of blows for Michelle following a miscarriage and subsequent split with boyfriend Syed Ahmed.

Last night, a business insider revealed: "It just wasn't working out. Sir Alan and Michelle had huge hopes for the partnership when she won the hit BBC2 series. They really felt it would be the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

"But it just hasn't worked out the way either side had hoped. It feels like the whole thing has been cursed.

"There's been one problem after another, and in the end both decided it was best to call it quits."

News of the split comes just comes four months after pretty Michelle beat rival Ruth Badger, 28, in the final of the show. More than six million viewers tuned in to hear Sir Alan tell Michelle: 'You're hired!"

He added at the time: "All Michelle has done in her life is work hard and she has become a great achiever. I found her very focused, very determined, very organised. I've got the right girl."

Apprentice winner quits prize job

Quote:
The woman who won the BBC's The Apprentice has left the £100,000-a-year job which was part of her prize.
Michelle Dewberry, 26, is leaving to start her own consultancy firm.

Both she and Sir Alan Sugar, who selected Dewberry from more than 15,000 applicants, said her role at his Amstrad company had been "completed".

She was reported to have been put on leave after becoming pregnant with, then losing, a baby she was having with fellow contestant Syed Ahmed.

The former checkout worker from Hull said: "I am so grateful for the experience I have gathered from Sir Alan and others within his organisation.

"I am excited to take these learnings and help other companies by way of my new company, MDL."

Sir Alan, 59, said: "I wish Michelle the best of luck with her new venture.

"She leaves with my blessing, and there is no question that I would consider using her new company to work with her again on special projects that need evaluating."
