At the moment, I have a medium lenght mess on my head. Its grown out of a numbr 3 all over and is now shapeless at about 2 and a half inches long all over.

I need to go to the hairdressers to get it styled. I dont want it cut shorter at all ads I intend to grow it into the indie-type hairstyle that is all over the place, a bit like Alex from Arctic Monkeys. But I dont know how to phrase it to the stylist. I think its called a 'shag' hairstyle, but I dont want to call it that in the salon to some 18 year old girl!

Ive searched on the net for a mens hair style gallerty but cant find a decent pic to take into the salon.

Any tips?

Take in a pic of Alex from the Arxtic Monkeys....... that might give them an idea of what you want.......

Must admit, I saw him on the Leeds/Reading highlights last night and though his hair was cool and I've been contemplating letting mine grow a bit as well!

I got my haircut yesterday, but I don't think they took enough off the length!

No, Im thinking that it may be too short at the moment to have it into the style that I want.

Im going to wear a hat at college to cover it up on the bad days until it grows another inch or so.

Im also looking through the NME and other music magazines to get a decent picture.

Any other tips would be welcome.
