Not if I've got there first!

Fancy starting a chat about chocolate without me!

PS yes, I know someone started off talking about coffee, but even he prefers hot chocolate...

I love Cappuccinos or a white coffee especially in a morning when I have uni.

I'm a big fan of coffee anything actually. I think what my coffee says about me is:

'unable to function properly without a cup first thing in the morning and at regular intervals throughout the day' {@}

I like coffee creams too. And coffee walnut cake. And coffee ice-cream. And shortcake biscuits dipped in Earl Grey. Does anyone remember the limited edition cappuccino Aeros?
I've never tried a chai tea latte (or a tai-chi latte ::lol:: ). Next time I'm passing somewhere that does them I'll have to go in and order one.

Smells and tastes great.

yep, agree with that. However, can anyone recommend a nice, rich fairtrade brand? Although I like the flavour of Nescafe [Alta Rica, not the bog-standard Nescafe which is gross], Kenco and Douwe Egbert brands they somehow leave a bitter taste because of the effect of low coffee prices they impose on producers who have little say/clout.

Our work vending machines (bearable only if you drink black coffee) serve Douwe Egberts (not fresh, but is granules - thankfully not powder). I'm trying to persuade them to switch to a fairtrade brand. In fact, I'm on a mission to get the whole company fairtrade status.

Me too, gad. I hate most flavours of biscuits etc though, I like rich teas the most! Or plain crackers.

My mum likes coffee a lot and has 3 cups a day (morning, lunch and one in the evening, around 8 o'clock) but dad doesn't and he drinks gallons of tea. However on holiday he'll drink coffee because he says the tea is rubbish!

Sure you all REALLY wanted to know that!

I love Mocha coffee, but like a few other people on here I don't like coffee flavoured food at all! so it's a little werid I know being able to drink coffee!

Also had a conversation with a friend who didn't know you are suppose to finish off a posh meal with a coffee! So sorry tea drinkers I'm sure they would serve it, if you asked! :D

Its not a hard and fast rule Chad. And if you are paying then you can finish of the meal, posh or otherwise with whatever you want. I hate food and drink snobbery, along with hating coffee and tea. :D

tasty - well done on the fairtrade thing.

what coffee have you tried?

Don't go near Traidcraft's own brand stuff, it is grim. Cafedirect is pretty OK though and it is available in big tubs and vending packets I think (ask in Oxfam shops)

Nescafe do a Partners Direct Rich Roast which is quite nice although I think it's a bit of a token gesture on their part considering the crap prices they pay farmers for the rest of their coffee.
