Here you go ('Coffee' thread readers), a special, dedicated thread all for all those who love a good hard biscuit. Or a soft one dipped in tea.

I quite like Custard Creams. And Nice. And Fruit Shortcakes.

And MvVities Chocolate Digestives (Milk Chocolate, not the dark stuff)

Oh, and shortbread. Actually, I have a tale involving shortbread, some cream, and a tall, slim, leggy blonde. Requests on a PM to...

And coconut rings (that's not a sexual fetish by the way, just thought I'd clarify that)

shortbread, huh???

have to disagree with you tasty - a McVities Plain Chocolate Digestive, straight from the fridge, with a nice cuppa, is hugely superior to the milk choc version!

Tesco's also do very nice Double Chocolate Chip Fairtrade Cookies (black packet).

Ginger nuts, custard creams and bourbons are always good. Malted Milks are disgusting though.

which biscuit is it that you suck tea through then you quickly put it in your mouth and it explodes?

Aren't they Australian and called Tamtams? I think they're not dissimilar to a thicker penguin.

Penguins are a real swiz. They're not real chocolate.

If we're being nostalgic, I would say

Viscounts-both mint and orange
Cadbury's chocolate fingers
Iced Gems.

They were all mandatory requirements for a birthday party.

Currently, I rather like the M&S organic cranberry and pumpkin seed biscuits. Sounds awfully healthy, but in fact tastes sinful. Yum.

they're called 'TimTams' :D and they are like penguins (you can actually get them in Asda - my fav are the toffee ones @^@ )
and what Chad referred to is known in the Antipodes as 'the TimTam challenge' {@}

As a reformed biscuit addict my list is

Jaffa Cakes
Hobnobs
Any Chocolate chip cookies
Digestives Plain or Dark Chocolate

All dunked in a nice mug of coffee and a packet at a time !

Or at least I used to.
Jaffa cakes are the worst a packet or two a time used to be a regular and at around 800 calories per packet it's not good for you.

Don't normally buy biscuits these days as the normal biscuit types give me acid. Jaffas are the exception but as they don't last more than a few minutes with a mug of drink I avoid them most of the time.

CT you have raised an interesting ethical dilemma.

Is a Tunnocks Caramel Wafer (truly the goddess of all wafer bars) actually a biscuit? Cos really, it's more of a bar....

In the same way that a Jaffa Cake isn't a biscuit.

Pedantic - Moi?

Agree with you on the Viscounts though - some things you only eat when you go round to your grans. Like Taxi bars. And toast made on the Parkray with a toasting fork. @^@

 maybe it is a bit strange but I much prefer savoury to sweet and I would never have a biscuit. I hardly ever eat sweets or chocolate either!

I suppose somebody had to be different! ::lol::
