You poor thing Milly. I have not had one, so cannot help I'm afraid. There is a good link about it HERE though explaining what happens before, during and after, although I expect you probably already know all that.

Good luck with it and I know it is easy for me to say, but try not to worry about it, because you must be having it done for a purpose and if it is necessary to find out what is wrong with you, then it should be worthwhile in the end.

Thank you Christine. To be perfectly honest, I am feeling really scared about the whole thing. I hate hospitals, they make me panic and the idea of having this procedure done is completely freaking me out :-(

Good link that Christine and it describe exactly what will happen.

Milly, DON'T WORRY about the procedure, you will maybe be a bit uncomfortable but just leave the 'Experts' to get on with their work.

I know a little about the procedure as I kept a good friend of mine company while she was in for a couple of days and there were no problems. Afterwards they sorted her out and she has had no more trouble.

Good Luck, we will be thinking of you

Hey Milly, I use to be a Cardiographer and the Techitions use to do this test, I think it's when they put dye through your artery's in your heart to make sure the blood is flowing through correctly, nothing to be worried about honestly!

I hate hospitals myself, I amazed myself by working in one!!!

Martin's Mum had an Angiogram over a month ago and although it is natural to be worried, you really shouldn't.

Did a Dr. and/ or Nurse not talk about the procedure with you ? Were you given any leaflets ? Martin's Mum had both and found them very helpful.

Good luck with it Milly - I'm sure everything will be fine and please don't worry.

After collapsing three times in 24 hours I think I will just have to forget about my worries and get it sorted. I do feel relieved after hearing all your stories and also people at work have chatted to me about it. Lets hope they find some answers because at the moment I am feeling pretty miserable :-?

At the moment I cannot think of any reason to be alive other than my children :-( :-( :-(

It is so hard to carry on with things as they are.. I don't know why I am typing this other than it is a chance to put my thoughts 'out there' and maybe cathartic in some way? I am sorry to be a misery - I feel so low and so alone and so bewildered. :-( :-(

Milly,
Image

Sorry, I had no info about angiograms. But hopefully this will help the medics work out how best to treat your symptoms, and you'll be feeling a lot better soon.

I'll pm you this evening maybe, with some things that helped me when I was nervous about medical tests, earlier this year.

I have been in that situation myself and it's a good enough reason to carry on. As the saying goes ''this too shall pass'' and I have clung to that many many times over the last few years and guess what, it does!

Good luck, I'm sure you will be fine. You normally have such a positive outlook I'm sure it will return before you know it. :x

  Thank you everyone - and those people who PMd me or texted me too ... I feel rather embarrassed - my excuse is that I have had a truly horrible week, and am feeling pretty pathetic and miserable.

 Sorry for splurging my misery on here - you don't really need it either

Don't worry Milly. It is better to let your feelings out, than to bottle everything up inside. Sometimes, writing your problems down, helps.

We are all your friends on here and we all want you to get better as soon as possible. @^@
